DIAMOND HEAD CLASSIC

Brown throws the ball away on the offensive end; and then we miss the opportunity for a steal, and then give up the offensive board. Then of course we miss a layup (Lykes - out of control) on our next possession. It feels like that sequence has been on repeat for a couple games in a row. And somehow we're only losing by two. It's been a better few minutes but still not as good as needed. Feeling like we might start to put it together soon.

Nice to see us go on a run before the end of the half. Signs of life from this team.

MTSU has 14 fouls already in the game.

I'll take a five point lead at the half after how dreadful the first seven minutes were. We had a huge advantage with MTSU's foul trouble. Let's hope we can get them to pick up another couple fouls early in the second. Our depth will be tested a bit more without Walker. Didn't look that bad but it's scary bc of his recent injury.

Fun stuff:

- We scored 12 points in the first 10 minutes. 22 points in the final 10 minutes.
- We had 9 TOs in the half. Brown had a 1/3 of them.
- MTSU has 14 fouls in the first half.

Nice comeback led by making stops on D. Even got 2 points from Rodney Miller of all people. Lonnie even before getting hurt doing nothing. He has not played well with Bruce Brown for some reason.

"Unfortunate turnover for Bruce Brown" says the announcer. Agreed, but it's also his fifth of the night so it's not all bad luck unfortunately. He has been a bit out of control this whole tournament. He has been playing defense and rebounding though.

Including today (so far), Brown is 1-12 from 3PT in his last 4 games. This is a guy who shot .347 last year from 3PT.

For some reason we haven't been able to put together buckets and stops in either of the last two games. When we've scored, we've proceeded to give up points. When we've made stops, we've proceeded to miss our own shots.
