If a bunch of guys come on June 9th, maybe that June commit number is a bit higher.

Until this evening, I was firmly convinced that we really would only be able to start drawing conclusions about whether the June visits were a success or failure in early August. However, on his show today, Flo says the good news is coming much sooner than we think.
I may need to re-evaluate but as of now, I still think early August.

It’s why I said the end of July even though about the middle of July the noise will start to rise to a level where dishes will start to shake on the shelves and lights will begin to blink on and off…

I’m willing to be patient. If taking these low 3 stars and stacking visits leads to a top 5 class I’m good. If we end up having a bunch of near misses and these 3 star “but the staff loves them” guys are the bulk of the class after all this hype then pitchforks out and the press secretaries can eat a bag

It’s not just that though. A lot are visiting us on the 9th but have visits elsewhere after that. I think the top ones do their June OVs and maybe all or close to all do.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see one of the big name DL to pop during a visit. I feel like we’ve got one of them locked up and we are just waiting to try to build momentum and apply pressure.

We MIGHT free up some cash...to get a more public announcement sooner ("hey, you can still take those visits")...
OR
We might get quick answers after their visits,, since there will be a dead period.

Yes, I think "quiet time" is misleading. I think it means that the college coaches can't go on the road, into schools, into homes, etc. But the student-athletes CAN visit campuses.
It's weird. Or described weirdly.
If you think about it, most of the summer is either "quiet" or "dead". And with some of the formal communication having to go through high school coaches, I think that it mostly relates to how the college coaches can interact with recruits (they can come to us, but not vice versa).

People keep citing this statistic, as if it means a whole helluva lot.
If our evaluations are solid, then we CAN expect some of these 3-stars to have good senior seasons and climb in the rankings.
And if our evals are bad, we are ****ed anyhow, no matter what the class rankings say.

I don't have expectations, at least not for top tier talent. I can't come up with a reason to pick us until we show it on the field, so why should they? Unlike them, we've been down this road of hopes and dreams. So at least they've got that on their side, the lack of living it, while we've all been living with unfulfilled promises for 20 years.

We’re going to find out. He was the DL analyst last year which means he was also recruiting the DTs. Everyone is quick to give him credit for Jaden and Collins but forget he was also helping with DTs.
