Some of these comments are ridiculous, people need to stop acting like we've never seen people his size, and SMH at people claiming the comp was low, the kid is a Mr Football Tennessee and is a threat to score every time he has the ball

COOOOOOOP

Some of you are acting like we're putting Elder in the power I and running him 30+ times a game. He's a change of pace kid that'll get touches at more than one position, kids like this are a ***** to prepare for.

Btw, 5'10 180-185 is more than big enough , at least let him get in a college weight room before saying " he's too small".

This thread amounts to: Elder isn't "South Florida talent" so he must not be of much value.

Funny stuff from the worst fanbase in America.

Elder is built like a corner and moves like a corner. Doesn't have great top-end speed, but plenty fast enough for college. Played a ton of defense in high school so it shouldn't be too foreign.

I'm with OP. He can have the ball in his hands on returns and hopefully after INTs. Either way, he is such a competitor that he seems destined to succeed somewhere.

Idont think hes that fast from the film when you put it next to another great college back, he seems like a graig cooper which I would take but dude isnt on the level of what our plan A was not even close. Gimme Cook and Yearby and we are solid

U guys are a trip. The guy is a high school SR, he is 5'11. That is round about average RB height. He can and will easily get to 200 lbs. Duke is 5'9 190 and he was 170 in high school. Which was part of the reason he was so underrated coming out as well. Elder, Duke etc are play makers. Give them the ball in whatever way and something will happen. How can you guys sit there and say he is too small when he hasn't even been through a college offseason program or a college weight room or nutrition and diet? Simply ridiculous

his body type does not look like a traditional RB. he is a mega tweener. 5'11" 165 is very small even for a HS RB

Why do people keep saying we need CB's?
Howard
Gunter
ACrawford
Burns
Hope
Dortch

And potentially,
Patten
Lammons
Jojo Rob.
Turner (commit)
I mean theres 6 and only one is a senior. We are looking to bring in a couple this cycle. I just dont see the issue with the CB position... I feel good about it.

True, but traditional RB is not the role he would be expected to play on offense. He would be essentially a "utility" player, one who shifts around among different positions, sometimes RB, sometimes slot, the KR/PR game, etc. to take advantages of his shiftiness and explosiveness and to create mismatches. He's an ideal player for that role.

Dumb post gon dumb post.

take a huge playmaker and put him at CB. Makes sense........

I think someone's still mad

If Dexter McCluster wasn't too small to play RB in the SEC then Elder won't be too small for it in the ACC.

He will be a slot guy . Kick or punt returner. Kid is special. One of Al's late steals. If we get Griffin in it will cement last years class as one of the best in a while.
