Corn Elder

The same people *****ing about starting him out at corner are the ones *****ing about the defense. An athletic, shutdown corner capable of making plays is more valuable commodity right now than another slot receiver.

I am sure the coaches saw something in his basketball defense that made them think he can play some defense. Basketball players rely heavily on raw athletic ability and this kid obviously has it. Good luck to him. I trust in this staff to develop him or move him to a better situation.

Corn is better at football than basketball. His Bball game needs work.

I never really watched him at CB when I got a chance to watch Ensworth but I have heard he can play there easily.

As far as the backyard football comment goes. Yeah Tennessee isn't a big football state but Ensworth could walk into any state and win games including Florida.

You do know that most high school kids play both sides of the ball right? He has DB highlights on his tape. I don't think they would have to watch him play basketball to project him as a corner

Golden said incoming freshman Corn Elder, who was Mr. Tennessee as a running back the past two years, will be used as a cornerback initially because of need but also will have the option of playing some at slot receiver and could end up there eventually if he chooses.

honestly i'm cool with this. our corners are really weak right now, worse than our RB depth if you take yearby into account. we need talent there BADLY. he should return kicks though.
