If they wait for a judge to rule, it means they have to run the course of complete law suit and appeal ... which could take a couple of years based on how the proceedings have gone so far. Realistically, then need to announce by 8/15 to play in another conference by 2025. The court action can be looked at simply as a vehicle to push the ACC / ESPN to the negotiation table.
