BTW I fully expect Emory to "WIN" the Backup job for Spring because that is how we keep him (and thus 3 qbs on roster) through the rest of the season. In reality it won't mean Emory is actually better than Nickel or that next season Nickel isn't the favorite.

All I know is what @DMoney has said that he got the brace surgery, which was the best case scenario for a quick turnaround.

The Braves surgeon in Texas recommended a full reconstruction (Tommy John). So I’m erring on the side of caution. I’m not a doctor or anything obviously so idk how multiple different opinions can happen and what 1 choice vs the other could mean or if that means it might be more severe than Purdy or if none of it matters.

He told Georgia before Christmas he wasn’t returning to the program. He didnt even let their training staff get info on the opinions and surgery. I think his agent advised him on that secrecy but no idea why.

My brother is a big UGA fan. On a couple of their boards. He sent me this right after he hit the portal. Seems like everyone on this board thinks it’s a matter of when, not if he comes here.

You'd take second team reps from Nickel in practice for a guy that is clearly not going to play any substantial minutes going forward?

Dad and brother and big UGA fans. I watch them probably as much as Miami. He was just so average this year. The offense did him no favors. They dropped everything and Bobo can’t scheme an offense for ****. OL was bad. Injuries and Searles will do that to you. If he falls between Cam and best case TVD under Dawson, we will be ok.

The ones complaining about Beck also say we don't win 6 games with Emory. I guess they want us to win 5 games? SMH.

Exactly. Somehow people went from saying "just fix the defense and let's ride with Emory" to now saying Beck is not good enough when we have no other options at this point.

I think im worried more about the injuries. Bobo is a qb killer. I mean tvd was a meathead and put up numbers in Dawson's scheme.
He had a bad offense and sometimes the INT's are pushing too hard but what other options did we have? Most of the guys are unproven or play at a non-p4 who have been in portal.

TVD never played like beck in 2023.Last year was a bad year for him.
