I give Beck alot of grace due to the WR corp and them being #1 in the country in drop passes. That bomb that #86 dropped in the CFP against ND that would have given UGA hella momentum was back breaking. Can you guys imagine what Cam's numbers would have been had we had 32 drops this year? I think that was UGAs official number. 32 drops.

I think this is a momentum changing addition if he comes. We will have alot to sell in the 2nd wave of the portal if we go looking for a WR.

And I also find it hiliarious that Oh State insiders are already reporting that they have zero interest so dont even put their name in any mess. They want no parts of whatever Becks' agent is cooking up. This couldnt have landed any better for Mario.

I buy it. If they don't go after Ewers, they're going to see if Sayin (or Keinholz if he sticks around) can be their starter after Spring practice. If they have any doubts, I bet they offer an absurd sum of money to try to get somebody like Josh Hoover/Haynes King/Sawyer Robertson.

Him not throwing in spring would actually be solid cause we get a full Nickel vs Emory competition.

BTW I fully expect Emory to "WIN" the Backup job for Spring because that is how we keep him (and thus 3 qbs on roster) through the rest of the season. In reality it won't mean Emory is actually better than Nickel or that next season Nickel isn't the favorite.

Let's say he plays better than 2024 but doesn't get to his 2023 season. That's probably 3600-3700 yards, around 26 TDs and 8-10 INTs. You don't think with an improved defense we compete for the ACC? The ones complaining about Beck also say we don't win 6 games with Emory. I guess they want us to win 5 games? SMH.

100 percent this. A massive improvement over Emory.

Emory might never be a full season starter at a P4 program. Beck right now is a projected NFL draft pick.

Would be a huge upgrade and catapult us into ACC contention.

Beck is better anyone who entered not named Mateer. Mike Bobo and his WRs dropping everything killed him. Even this year you saw the flashes of NFL talent at times. Some people tried to trash Ward on this very board because of his fumbles at Wash St. He will have a better offensive system, better OL and probably a better group of WRs here. We just need a defense lol
