LMAOOOOOO.Pat Jr was a higher rated recruit than Tracy and went to a team that has won (3 more titles or so) since 2011. Also, Tyson was ranked far higher than Deon as a recruit. HE went to the team that recently played for a title (he went the year they played for one). in fact tyson and pat are both ranked higher than tracy as recruits
What would it be if you adjusted for ****tiness of offense? People pass less when they know their opponent can’t score and will likely toss a pick if they try to.our overall d adjusted for schedule is 7th in the country
That my point. Y’all ain’t want him the get go. Thought guys like rashad Fenton and Carlton Davis were huge misses. Mike Jackson proved to be better than both under rumph and cohis offer list left a lot to be desired.
Where have I ever said coaching had nothing to do with him? You’re flailing, grasping and making chit up.you dont think coaching had anything to do with MJJ?
Newest excuse! Well done!
LMAOOOOOO.
Your argument is ridiculous, and revealing. Excuse mongers start lying when they run out of excuses. Tracy Howard was rated the No. 1 CB in the country by Rivals, No. 1 player in FL, No. 13 nationally and a 6.1 rating. Surtain was also a 6.1, and No.1 CB. He was No. 8 nationally, but only No. 2 in FL. Essentially identical. Campbell, btw., was absolutely not rated higher than Howard. Campbell was also a 6.1, but just the No. 4 national CB, No. 8 kid in FL and 25 nationally.
Who gives a chit about rankings. Tracy Howard was waay overrated. Surtain and Campbell are better waaay betterLMAOOOOOO.

How can you say they left the cupboard empty when the cupboard they left included Corn Elder, Tracy Howard, Artie Burns, Jaquan, Redwine, Jenkins, Carter and Michael Jackson? The Golden staff recruited DB well at first but then fell off a cliff. And that's ignoring the lack of development once they got here. We put up a goose egg in 2014 and totally botched 2015. Paul Williams let guys like Fenton leave and ignored Redwine until the end. It was the same thing as the end of the Shannon era. We left the cupboards bare for the new guys.
Banda got here and turned Jamal Carter and Rayshawn Jenkins from washouts into NFL players. Rumph took someone else's trash (Colbert) and made him into an NFL player. Corn Elder took a massive leap. The next year, they turned Redwine and Jackson from afterthoughts into NFL players.
That's their track record. We focus on the misses instead of the fact that we have a highly recruited group of DBs on campus and coaches who can develop them.
I’m impulsive??!!..no y’all are the definition of impulsive. Y’all want to fire a coach for a 17 yr old kid choosing to go to another school. A school who if were being honest most kids or NCAA pundits will say is on more stable footing as far as competing nationally. Didn’t “miss”. Surtain chose bama. Campbell chose UGA. Stevenson chose UGA. Battle chose bama..yet we’ve yet a top notch secondary the last 2 years. Turned Jroc and Jenkins into pro prospects in a year. Turned quan into a AA. Turned redwine into a all acc safety. And will do the same with the young talent currently on the roster
I told you my rankings were rivals. Im consistent and use it for all these discussions.
The job of a college assistant includes more than onfield coaching, and there are other people who can both coach and recruit. Whats really shameful is that we have TWO assistamt spots allocated to DB, amd NEITHER can recruit. Pathetic. It’s literally half our defensive assistants and they suck at recruiting, and its the one position we should have our best recruiter at because it is the biggest so fla local strength to leverage.
Sometimes rankings matter to discussions on recruiting. Howard was an important recruit and we got him. When eeryone else wanted him. He was the frickin No.1 cb in the cou;try. Campbell amd Surtain were important recruits also. We did not get them. Now do you understand?Who gives a chit about rankings. Tracy Howard was waay overrated. Surtain and Campbell are better waaay better
Man, that’s the most depressing excuse I’ve ever heard around here. You’ve truly given up.That isn't an excuse man. I'm no fan of the staff unless they prove me wrong. I'm telling you how I see it. Miami plays in the God awful Coastal Division, in a basketball first conference. It doesn't surprise me that kids would bolt to MISS ST over Miami when you take that into account.
For some reason you guys think that plays little, or no part, in kids decision making.
So if we agreed that our current guys are just at a level with the golden crew, would you say that we should be content with that? The 2018 class of DB’s was four 4-star players. JJ was a blue chip prospect but Carter and Redwine weren’t.
Recruiting hasn’t fallen off from Golden in the defensive backfield. You’re knocking the staff for maximizing what they had.

They had a great DB class in 2018, but missed some big notable targets that made the optics bad. And didn’t impress this cycle.
It’s still premature to want to fire guys who coach one of the best defensive backfields in the country.
I will confidently put myself in any group of vocal golden critics from his second season onward. Few miami fans were any earlier in writing him off.Rumph never coached Howard and Burns. We had to bring in Colbert and Delaney as grad transfers because we had no depth. The 2014 DB class was a total loss and the 2015 class was mismanaged beyond belief.
Me, @Coach Macho, @gogeta4 and plenty others were killing Golden and Williams for their approach to DB recruiting.
