As an aside: my pick to start on Labor Day is Heaps. I think he's more experienced and possibly more talented than Olsen, even if Olsen has the edge of being in the playbook longer. I believe if we give him time to throw (that he's never had in his career), and he's throwing to a high level of weapons that he's never had access to at BYU/Kansas, then he can shine. I like the idea of what Heaps is capable of when he's not running for his life when he drops back to pass. Any QB can be a "reject" when they're trying to throw with 5-6 guys chasing them from the pocket as soon as they hit the end of their drop.

It's definitely going to make camp more interesting than ever. Gonna be fun to watch unfold.

He made the most incredible throws down field but on 3rd down would throw a comeback route in the dirt. This team doesn't need Ryan Williams or any QB to be superman. Just be accurate get the ball to Coley and Dorsett in stride on 3rd down and give Duke the rock.

based on two very highly recruited qbs on staff...one transfer that was all everything and another transfer that seems to know the program for the last 3 years..
a QB and OC coach that has put two qbs in the league with 1st round pics ( dey suck but they won)......
not one of these guys has taken a snap but Williams so good or bad..we are better off than 2 3 star qbss

I was big Golden supporter until the Louisville game. I held out as long as I could but the Louisville game was the last straw.

Lol I don't really understand you people that say stuff like this. We have been watching and analyzing Golden for how many years now? The one thing we know about him is he is stubborn and loyal. Jacory is my boy but he must have thrown 500 int and Golden wasn't gonna give Morris a shot. Why ? People were saying Morris was better anyways. Morris hurt his ankle and he wouldn't put Ryan in. Of course it's because he stinks so bad right. Yet in the off season Golden names him starter without waiting for Kaaya to get here. There was never a true QB competition and neither was there gonna be one. Ryan wws gonna get his shot no matter what.We're talking about the same man who would leave and play #30 , 22, and #31 no matter how many tackles they missed. Figs is gone ......anybody wanna bet Thirsty starts over Grace??? Although everyone here knows Grace is the more talented player? Do have to mention his loyalty to Dnofrio and his trust in his scheme and how it will work? It's Just how Golden rolls.

All those skill position guys can make an average QB look good. Except Morris didn't look good last year, and the guys behind Morris couldn't beat him out, and the only other two new guys are a Kansas reject and a freshman.

Ryan didn't beat out morris because morris played pretty well under fisch after that there was no way golden was going to bench him midway thru his senior year , williams is a game manager not a huge arm but , with stacy and dorsett and a back like duke he will get the job done

Ryan didn't beat out Morris because he wasn't as good as Morris.

Williams' backup is better than Williams and Morris though. That's how it works in Caneland.

Remember when Herb Waters was better than Phillip Dorsett last off-season?

The qb we start will attempt 15-20 play action passes a game.
Hopefully half of those are screen passes to Duke or Yearby.

The rb's are going to get 40+ carries a game.

As long as we have a qb who can throw a screen, a wheel, a slant and an occasional deep out or post, we will be fine.

Like everyone that speaks negative on any and every subject that comes up on this site.

I have seen some reasonable posts about the shortcomings of this program like the issues with the coaching staff from you and Wildcatoffense (or some ish like that).

But at the same time, others will post negative crap just for the sake of being negative. Almost as if they have an agenda. We have our own fans guaranteeing we get blown out by Louisville like we are some 1AA school (yes I still say 1AA). We have fans making videos showing how pumped they are for the season, then basically gets told to sit down and STFU by the same fan base. Like, "Wea dey do dat at". Thats something you would expect from another team's fan base. I keep seeing posts saying Golden has us in a worst spot then Shannon but have yet to see someone explain how with any kind of logic.

Im new here, so sorry if that's how things work here. But to anyone guaranteeing we get blown out against any team or just being straight up negative about our program just for the sake of; I will say to you what I would say to any FSU or Gator fan, **** you and suck my ****
