We need to find a way to make the playoff any way possible since it will greatly help the sell to recruits. But it would be very nice to finally win an acc title. Go canes!

the only way we're going to the playoffs is if we beat Syracuse and if we're already there of course they'll try to win it

Initial takeaways…

ACC shaping up for 2-bid league.

It’s going to be hard for Bama to jump Clemson if Clemson beats SCar, and Miami beats Cuse.

Our projected path is really, really fortuitous.

Indiana is safely in, provided they don’t lose as 29-point favorites.

Tulane big jump will make it hard for UNLV to pass them, provided they upset Boise.
Bama shouldn't be in the convo any longer. It's not just that it lost to Oklahoma, it's the way it lost -- completely dominated by a 5-5 team.

I'm not betting on Clemson beating USCe. The Gamecocks are playing lights out right now. The fighting Dabos should have lost to Pitt, if they hadn't choked. Clemson had 8 yards rushing going into the last minute of the game when the Clemson QB ran for his 50 yard TD. Though USCe is on the road, I've picked them to win straight up.

This matters literally zero since the bracket will certainly change but if somehow it does shake out like this, my god how fortunate would we be? The 3 best teams in the country are all on the other side of the bracket. Oregon, taint, and UGA. Would need to beat Penn State and Texas to make a ******* national championship game? Lord yes.

Secondly, I still don’t think 2 ACC teams get in. It’s possible, for sure. With us at 6, you’d think a big win vs Cuse and a really close loss to SMU in a great game probably gets us no worse than 11th and in, but I will never believe the B1G and SEC don’t both get 4 in until it actually happens. I just can’t see them giving the ACC two spots at the expense of one of those leagues. But let’s just win the next 2 and not worry about it.

Other than that, I’m ok with the rankings. I was a big proponent of a 12 team playoff, and still am. I don’t think it dilutes the regular season too much and I think those blocks of 4 games in the first and second rounds are gonna be awesome. BUT…I don’t think a team like Alabama should have a chance to win a national championship. I’ll let it play out but I reserve the right to think 12 is too many once all this happens.

Just play a complete game FFS, stop sleepwalking in the second qtr. carry last weekends defensive momentum into Syracuse and roll them.
Hoping this team finds its 5th gear in the post-season. Feels like we're ******' around alot. Play like we did against WF for four quarters and we'll sleepwalk the playoff. We're our own **** enemies.

The Big12 winner is the forgotten team here.. they will grab a spot. They aren't accounted for on these rankings, but they will on the final rankings.
