I don't see how any 2 loss team should be ahead of us at this point. We lost 1 game by 1 point on a buzzer beater. I didn't even bother throwing Duke in this equation because that is a joke (our BPI and RPI are better).

Duke didnt get a number 1 seed... they got a number 2 seed just like us in 2013 and we were ranked higher. If you are going to rant about us being disrespected at least have an actual example of when we have been instead of some made up stuff.

Conspiracy theory? It is a fact that the NCAA basically broke the law (several times) in order to find violations against UM athletics. When a panel has to break the law in order to secure findings...what would you call it? That is a fact that cannot be refuted. And even after all of that came out, it was nearly 4 years before all was concluded. And if my memory serves me correctly, didn't the NCAA wait until the exact time of a home basketball game to announce the sanctions against UM? They couldn't do it in and afternoon press conference?

We were bumped own to 9 after losing to Gtech (rightfully so) yet you think we should have been number 1 seed over gonzaga and indiana. This is laughable. We had the same record as Indiana except they didnt stumble as bad at the end of the season yet we deserve number 1 over them? Gonzaga was a 2 loss team yet we deserve number 1 over them? Sure we could have been put above them and no one would have complained but it also makes plenty of sense that they were put as 1 seeds over us.

Word, we are as of now not a great team. We are a very good team..
What we do have over many teams(especially those dominated by one and out players) - is depth. As the seaon grinds on depth will play well into the post season. We have a brilliant coach, who makes masterful adjustments and a team with enough savvy to execute those adjustments. I think we go far this year. But we still need some luck. Not overly concerned about rankings pre league play.

UNC lost the game to Northern Iowa w/o their best player. Most pollsters seem to have 'forgiven' the loss to an extent. They still have one of the best rosters and were preseason #1 . Also their two losses were both on the road.

Honestly we haven't played a very tough non-conference schedule and we probably have a worse loss than anyone in the top 20. We deserve to be where we are. There is no anti-Miami bball bias like some of you are claiming. If we beat some for real ACC teams we'll shoot up the rankings.

I'm pretty much in the same camp.

I am waaay more concerned with how lethargic and 2014- like we have been playing of late....with guys like Angel and Sheldon reverting to some poor habits.

Beating teams like F$U need to be priority. UNC and Duke will get theirs regardless...no matter where we think we should be ranked in comparison right now. I would love a repeat of 2013...but realistically...we need to be more concerned with getting this potentially potent train on the tracks.

Gonzaga has been nothing but fool's gold for the last 15 years. Put them in the ACC or the former Big East and what would their record have been over the years? West coast basketball is a joke and they are always being overhyped.

Edit...Not counting UNLV in 1990, the west coast has had two national champions since the end of UCLA's run in 1975. UCLA in '95 and Arizona in '97. The ACC has had 12 national champions during that same span.
