Honest question but why would our defense be expected to handle our offense? Our offense should be our strength and really let us down last year at the end.
Our defense just needs to create a little bit of havoc like it was early on. We won't stop people consistently and we definitely will give up big plays.
Maybe it's pathetic we are at that point, but **** denial.

Olsen and Malcolm are the biggest surprises for me. Lewis is a ******* stud and I'll out money he will be right behind Coley in TD receptions. He's smooth as **** and has phenomenal hands. I think we are going to see a 2 headed monster at QB. You can't let Olsen not play. IF Williams beats him out I want to see him get at least 25% of the snaps in games.
Wish I could rep twice, I remember those threads vividly, I did look them up a while back and they were pretty funny to go through. We out here winning 7 or 8 games and people were like we dont need him, get a guy who "wants" to be a cane and going off hearsay, "oh I dont like the way he jogs into the endzone" was another one, Lmao. He has a bad attitude, off watching a 8 min highlight tape... We need someone with a dam bad attitude the way we have looked on the dam field!!! We need all the dam talent we can get.. Watch Coley freshman highlights and he doin the same dam thing against VT and co. Jogging in the endzone, dude is a beast. Thank gawd he is here and not in Tally.

Did y'all notice who was guarding Lewis on his long play down the sidelines????????

WTF are you talking about? McCord had the flat not Lewis! 27 had the deep third but bit on Dorsett's route and left his zone wide open.
It's at the 6:18 mark.

We gotta chill out with this talk. The rush position is only playing the boundary flat on zone blitz and drop 8 situations. We're not the only team that does this. It's very common, even in the NFL. You guys are going to be hanging off Tyriq's nuts when he gets a pick6 off one of those calls.

We gotta chill out with this talk. The rush position is only playing the boundary flat on zone blitz and drop 8 situations. We're not the only team that does this. It's very common, even in the NFL. You guys are going to be hanging off Tyriq's nuts when he gets a pick6 off one of those calls.
Tyriq is our best defensive player.

Lewis looks like he has his speed back, I didn't notice him run like that all last year. Great to see.
Burns got torched on the play to coley but had no safety help over the top. I'm still holding out hope that McCord and Muhammad can get enough pressures to make the defense look better.

Yeah. You could tell Lewis was still feeling the effects of his injury last season. He looked real good in this video.
Also, I'm confident Tryiq and AQM will create pressure off the edge (if they can develop a counter to their speed-rush), but we also need somebody in the middle to push the pocket so the QB doesn't have a place to step into. Who can be that guy for us? Hamilton, Pierre, Big Heurt, Kamalu, Chick and Wyche will all need to step up in the middle for us.

Looks like McCord was playing the ROLB in that pkg. We rushed 4, but can't tell who is rushing from the right edge. Looks to big and long to be a DB. 5 was the mike with 51 lined up on the left side. Probably getting Mccord some LB work.

I think he absolutely has the potential to be our best, but I can't fully agree until it actually happens during the season. #52 still takes it for me, right now.
