Bryan McClendon comin'...aaaannnd he's gone

The most important thing about this thread is to make sure we change the name to going if he gets hired at GA. We gonna be alright, we got a great quarterback and that’s an awesome start.

If BMac bolts, go get Grant Heard at IU, was at Ole Miss under Freeze.
Look what he did at Indiana with Fryfogle so he can develop and recruit with the best.

Let’s assume the “homecoming” angle that some in here are pushing is true for a second. That he’s only interested because it’s his alma mater. Just like Mario was with us. Yada, yada, yada.

What happens if Clemson or Texas or USC comes calling and he agrees to interview with them, too?

Is it still a “homecoming” thing? Or does he just want to badly get out of Miami?

95% of this thread is really dumb... many of you need to get a grip... its simple, as cribby said and a few others..

1) He doesn't seem to be in top3 of their choices.. so all this is for nothing..
2) If he does get the "UGA" offer, he's gone.. he's a bulldog and they just won the ship... no blame on anyone... Miami life goes on.....

Everyone calm down. Remember that both Ponce and Coley can coach WR as well. The other will take QB as Co-OCs.

You’re joking but with the way things have been going, I think Ponce is a legitimate possibility at OC. And while I don’t hate him like some on here, that would be an extremely underwhelming hire.

Only three names I have read are him, Hines Ward and WR Coach from IU

And more importantly, they don't have much talent at QB or a coach/system that knows how to utilize it. TVD is reason enough why Miami's WR / Co-OC job is a better job than UGAs.

If BMac goes to UGA, it isn't going to be for money or because he views it as a better job. It will purely be because it's home.

he can absolutely view it as a better job since right now uga is a better program than us on and off the field for the last 15 years. Marios job is to fix that and it think he will, but if a big time program like UGA or Bama comes calling for your coaches, you may lose them

Have any of those things happened? The Clemson, Texas, USC angle is purely a hypothetical, so what's the point?

So now we’re playing the “ what if “ game for drama? Jesus.

yeah that's dumb. we know what we know. it was dumb for certain posters to go all in on "you don't know **** bout B Mac and hes not interested elsewhere" so staunchly when we didn't know his intentions. what we know is that hes interested in going home otherwise he wouldn't have interviewed. if hes offered, hes gone. he hasn't been offered and till then hes still a canes coach. just focus on that. hes interested in the uga role.

Now this is just sad. You have been following my posts around for weeks at this point and this is the one where you thought you had me, so you decided to porst. I can't believe a full grown man would think this was a "gotcha" post.

I can't believe I have to explain this to a grown man, but the one of the most important things about merchandise sales are the people who buy them. Changing your mind every time the majority of CIS thinks a certain way, like you do, is what I was making fun of here.

If yout think the executives at fashion companies don't look at the data for who is wearing their clothes. And if you think the NFL staffs are looking at forums and changing their opinion on coaches based on what a bunch of biased fans think, then you have the business acumen of a toad.

You have absolutely no information though, so why does your panicked take hold any weight?

my sources tell me to relax.

Other than being the WR coach when Cristobol was at FIU, why do you think Ponce is a legitimate possibility? Or are we just desiring to perpetuate drama?

They will cross that bridge if it happens, but you can bet your life savings, they will generate an equally ridiculous excuse for that scenario.

Here’s the issue with this think line of thinking. Georgia is a run the ball play defense team under Smart. So if you are the wrs coach at Georgia how does this progress or look good on your resume? Miami on the other hand is a much more wide open offense with access to better wr talent on a consistent basis. If he wants to be a career wr coach Georgia is the move. But if he has career aspirations beyond just wr coach staying at Miami is better for his coaching career overall. Being a part of a Miami resurgence to a national power would skyrocket his career.
