Remember there are some freshmen coming in who will push for early PT right away. I'd be alright with our top 3 LB's being Cisco, this guy, and Wesley.

If you watch their film you should only be giddy about one. I’m ok with the take but I view him as a Caleb type maybe not as good. He could start or spilt snaps but he’s no Mauioga.
I said this and everyone is coming for my head so be careful.

I’m just going to wait for Mario to tweet then we know news hitting next

I suppose, I'm just saying Deion has kicked numerous people of his team who weren't good enough, so why can't Mario if he needs to open spots?

JC your shtick is getting old…and now a neon comparison? Bama boy, you’re making me regret my no-troll vote.

Him and Wes will likely split time Imo . Wes getting more snaps on Pass downs. I’m much more excited for the other portal guys. Nixon could start or be rotational because the room isn’t great.

Understatement of the year for a team that produced Ray Lewis and Jonathan Vilma.

I'm sure you know Nixon's talent level better than I do. I've never claimed to be an expert. But I was meh with Caleb Johnson. This guy Nixon seem to me to have a much higher ceiling; he diagnoses really well and is always at the point of attach. Johnson may have been the better athlete, but he couldn't diagnose. I was shocked at how lost he looked on the field.

No idea what Nixon's shuttle or SPARQ would look like. But he gets where he needs to be. And he's in control, not laying it all out to get there, like Flagg has to do and still misses. Maybe the Shaq compare was too ambitious. But if he can even be Pickney level, we're vastly better off as a team than we are today.

They’re different players but Nixon is what he is. A nice instinctual run stopper who isn’t great in coverage. I’m ok with that because it’s needed here. But we didn’t just land another Mauioga. He’s not that.
Agree, he's a good blitzer and run defender between the tackles, someone who can help out on early downs and goal line situations. I think he can give us 20-25 snaps a game which is fine because we need depth.

Well there's no one who will start over him on Game 1. If Bissainthe or the Freshmen, or Chase Smith for that matter, can take the starting job from him later in the season, all the better. Regardless, it's not a meh take. ... And all due respect to Cribby, 105 tackles from the outside is more than just a run stopper. He ended their Spring game with an interception btw.

I hope you are right and he becomes an All ACC type LB, we shall find out in a couple months. I can't believe it's already May, this off-season is flying by.
