If you watch their film you should only be giddy about one. I’m ok with the take but I view him as a Caleb type maybe not as good. He could start or spilt snaps but he’s no Mauioga.

I saw the film. He's a little stiff. But so was Shaq. He is night and day better than Caleb Johnson, and Flagg and Smith for that matter.

Night and day? Not sure about that. His tackles are because teams ran on them a lot. Not because he was some sideline to sideline athletic freak. He’d help with run D though. He has better instincts than Caleb but CJ was a much better athlete. Btw thus cat is nowhere in Shaq’s universe.

So a first team all-CUSA LB is not a starting P-5 LB? Please explain your logic
I mostly agree with your take in that he’s probably good enough to start here over Flagg or Keontra, but it’s not a bonafide slam dunk level of improvement. Just don’t expect a Cisco-esque level of production…now if he wraps up better, he’s instinctually more sound than the two I first mentioned. Could see his ceiling being better than Caleb for sure.

Also would push Wes imo, and it’s something that’s needed. He struggled a bit during the spring and having a vet show him the ropes and allow him to keep growing would be beneficial for everyone.

Him and Wes will likely split time Imo . Wes getting more snaps on Pass downs. I’m much more excited for the other portal guys. Nixon could start or be rotational because the room isn’t great.

Seems like a helpful piece after Cisco Mauigoa given what we have right now.

He had over 100 tackles and was 1st team all CUSA. Your idiocy truthfully knows no bounds.
Caleb Johnson and Antonio Moultrie were all conference players before they came here and neither ended up doing much for us. Go watch some film of Nixon and you will see some things that will concen you with his athleticism and tackling ability, he graded out in the low 50s by PFF which is terrible. I just don't think he's a day 1 starter, I see him as more of a rotational LB who can play 20-25 snaps a game. He's definitely a take in my opinion but I just don't see him being a day 1 starter.
