What's ironic is everyone is giddy over Rose (me included). But then some of these same people are meh with Nixon. Both are All CUSA. And our need at LB is just as great as it is at DT.

Meh. He's an okay LB but I just think he doesn't turn the needle. He's more of a rotational LB who can play 20-25 snaps then a day 1 starting LB, I worry about his athleticism. He's a great blitzer though so that should help, I think he's another Corey Flagg which is fine.

I think he’s better than Flagg and our LB depth is scary with an injury or two. I don’t want to rely on true freshman to save us. He’s a take and only for one year to bridge the gap with the freshman.

I have to admit that I'm buying into the hype right now. If we get the CB we wanted, the DTs we wanted, the LB we wanted, and a decent RB and WR, that is a Grade A haul. Of course I ALSO want Franklin or Coleman, can't deny it. But Mario and staff will have hit on every single position of need outside a backup QB.

If you watch their film you should only be giddy about one. I’m ok with the take but I view him as a Caleb type maybe not as good. He could start or spilt snaps but he’s no Mauioga.

There’s been no other LB we’ve been discussing that was visiting from the spring portal so now that he has committed feel not free to crap on it.

I agree he's a take for depth. I just don't think he's a clear Power 5 starting LB.
