I have to admit that I'm buying into the hype right now. If we get the CB we wanted, the DTs we wanted, the LB we wanted, and a decent RB and WR, that is a Grade A haul. Of course I ALSO want Franklin or Coleman, can't deny it. But Mario and staff will have hit on every single position of need outside a backup QB.

We’re not exactly in a position to turn down a 1st team all conference USA LB but I would if we only have 5 spots left. Shouldn’t be a priority.

See how guys like Moultrie, Gore, Oluwaseun, etc have factored in that we’re all conference in lower conferences.

Yeah but man wanna give their left leg for Franklin from UTSA. He has average speed and that would concern me going against P5 DBs. He is not Tank Dell.

If Nixon can come beat out Flagg / Wes / smith while playing pretty good I’d be thrilled. That’s the ceiling imo. Most realistic is he splits time with those guys. If he can’t do that then you missed bad.

Tbh it’s hard to gauge the guy because they had a bad defense and played a bunch of snaps , they couldn’t stop people. Hence why the tackles stuff is a tricky stat to base a players skill off of. They had three guys with 100 tackles or close to 100. Two with 100 + and one with 87. That’s pretty eye opening stuff.

Agreed. if we are really running short on roster spots, I'm not crazy about signing a depth piece at linebacker. We have much more pressing needs.

Moultrie was purely depth. He didn’t have stats or impressive film lol.
