Hence why I’m fine with the pickup. It is what it is. I’m at the point where all shall be revealed on Saturdays. It’s not even worth fretting about this **** anymore. Best case scenario we are pleasantly surprised the.

Yea I figured that for Roberts iw as hoping he would challenge Couch at nickel.

I dont mind em as much as he and Davis are 1 and dones but...if they are close i wanna see Curtis and Graves and those guys play..even Brown and the freshman from Melbourne...some time bringing in these older but marginally better guys leads to those types transferring out because there reps are going to these types.

Jaden Harris kind of flashed for me in the spring game at that hybri dspot they had him at, let him get his feet wet.

Just saying we got a kid from OKLAHOMA...doesnt move the bell for most of us knowledgable posters cause we already know OU defense is some sh*t most all years...there are multiple dbs out there in the portal i woulda been on honestly.

If he comes though he is a cane and gotta rep for Jaden and wish him luck and a good szn for us

Well said. This has been my contention that if the players are only marginally better, why not play the guys we recruited?

Just gonna let this portal thing work itself out and then judge it when it’s done

It’s cool to talk about “depth” and “special teams” if the starters are locked in. At the moment we don’t have that but we will see how it shakes out

He has nearly the same low 4* ranking as a transfer.

He’s basically performed at the exact level he was projected.

A low 4* just isn’t an elite college player.

Obviously a low 4 star HS player isn’t an elite College player. No HS player no matter the ranking is an elite College player. There has to be Coaching, Development, scheme are all factors of HS players reaching their potential. Granted he may not have a Higher ceiling as the 5 stars, but 5 star players doesn’t guarantee elite play. Dent, Mc Fadden, Singletary etc.
 
If we gonna take a meh player as some of you say....sorry, never watched his film, then ill rather someone who has alot of experience. Im not pom pom this guy as i said i havent watched him but if we bring in Matt Lee, Cohen, Francisco, Deen Cam McCormick etc. Its not just about talent its also about experience. Add Mesidor and Lichenstein from last season and you can see how having grown men with a business like attitude can raise the maturity of the team and let the young guys develop below that. What value can u place on that? Im not sure.

Yeah, who would want to pick a team that struggled in 2022? I mean, only 19 of the Top 26 Portal classes (thus far) won 8 games or fewer...
