If it's a Portal guy, you might expect silencio for another few days, until all the cards are out in the open.

Remember, Portal commits are VERBAL ONLY, nothing is official until the player enrolls. Some kid who "picked" Cincy a week ago just Portal-flipped to Colorado.

For HS/JC kids who sign an LOI, it prohibits ongoing recruitment by other schools. But a Portal "commit" can be recruited by the rest of the country up until the day he enrolls for classes at his new school.

I’m not an expert evaluator. But as a nicker/star defensive back Davis should be a great addition.
It’s the reason why E.L Jr was a priority to everyone’s favorite senior citizen on here. Little Jr wasn’t tiring g heads in the 40 as a 6’2 freak like ps2 and TC.

It’s a position where being smarter is very important. They want his experience and familiarity with the position.

I was coming into say this most cbs are aroind 5'9-6'0 and anywhere from 175'190.

Its the reason dj ivey won over coaches coming in at 6'1 200 every year..not everyone is he and stevenson size.

Dp jr is avg size at cb..hes bigger than jaden davis and couch. Ill say above 5'10 and about 180.

Last time i saw him he wsd with Pat surtain jr and he didnt look out of place with him and he is considered a big corner

I just had dinner at komodo with pat & Tyson and a couple of kids who just got drafted. Those boys are getting big. Most people just assume cause they never see us out of pads that automatically we all gotta be big I feel like. Definitely not the case as you said.

How? Of course, we had an NIL contract with verbal commit Jaden Rashada...until he got a better NIL contract...

Might an NIL deal make it less likely to flip? Sure. But it won't stop people from talking. And if someone is willing to pay to flip a Portal commit, the conversations CAN HAPPEN. At least with an LOI, discussions with a signed recruit are impermissible.

I'm just not sure why people think that all of these late-spring Portal guys are NIL deals. A lot of them just lost their starting jobs and need to go elsewhere. Not all of them are commanding big NIL deals, though they might get some small ones to smooth over the process.

Even Dee talked about Hightower getting a moderate-sized NIL offer to come as a grad transfer. It could happen. But not for big money (for most of them).
