IMO, the kid is going to be exactly what you expect him to be. Technically sound but athletically limited. Robert Knowles give or take. Very similar expected value to Couch and Porter IMO. Good locker room kid, too, by all accounts ... He's a great add if we also go out and grab a tier 1 talent.

Yeah, who would want to pick a team that struggled in 2022? I mean, only 19 of the Top 26 Portal classes (thus far) won 8 games or fewer...

Bret Bielema and Illinois, who just dominated the NFL draft at DB sure seem to want Jaden Davis badly.

2023 NFL Draft Picks - Illinois

Devon Witherspoon, DB, Seattle (1st, 5)
Jartavius Martin, DB, Washington (2nd, 47)
Sydney Brown, DB, Philadelphia (3rd, 66)

Problem is, that’s not the staff that got those guys there.

Those are Lovie Smith evals (or at least his staff).

His main recruiter was Keyondo Hudson who’s now at WKU. Check who they’re offering.

Appreciate the clarification carry on @Tank Girll

To be fair this is a bit misleading, most of that is quantity, of those teams the only ones with .900 avg class ratings are lsu, usc, auburn, fsu, Miami, Michigan and kentucky… 4 of those 7 won 10 games the other three have coaches that have won 10 games recently.

i think the surprise wasn't so much how skinny he is but how short he is.
I mean he did get on the field for us and it was pretty apparent how overmatched he was physically

He can play the position though but yeah just really limited

When he hit the field pretty sure 5-9 was the consensus

He’s very very bad. I’m not often critical of kids like that but I don’t understand the take. I was front row for a lot of his practices and I don’t know how he ended up a D1 player. Small and slow
I never liked him out of high school. I was clapping like a seal when he went to Norman. Wanted nothing to do with him.

Most corners appear very skinny to most. I can only imagine what ur kid would think if he ran into Couch.
I was coming into say this most cbs are aroind 5'9-6'0 and anywhere from 175'190.

Its the reason dj ivey won over coaches coming in at 6'1 200 every year..not everyone is he and stevenson size.

Dp jr is avg size at cb..hes bigger than jaden davis and couch. Ill say above 5'10 and about 180.

Last time i saw him he wsd with Pat surtain jr and he didnt look out of place with him and he is considered a big corner

Reminds me of Isaiah Dunson. There was the infamous video of a couple years ago where he was working out with Tyriq and had his shirt off. His build was......completely underwhelming. Looked like he never lifted a weight in his life.
