As usual, you're misconstruing information. Without naming names, one commit candidate mentioned in this thread is a quality recruit, but not AT ALL mentioned over the last few months as a whale. As to what YOU perceive the issue to be, in a forum setting, could it be binary (your favorite word)?
And finally as for 'whales' - let's use the '23 class as an example. Whales - the 2 OT's and we know Bain was **** near, if not, because of production. McClain would've been. Guys like Fletcher, Bryant, Po Po were high quality gets, but not whales. And you know that. So my comment was NOT condescending. These players have been discussed in great detail and there is a general consensus. You know that too. So where exactly is this bull*****t you refer to? Seems you're the source.🙄

Otherwise, I will note it's the staff's definition of a "whale" at issue, not ours. And even here at CIS, I think there is some disagreement (5*, top 100 player, top 247, etc...). For instance, if it's for Riley, I consider him a whale and doubt I'd be alone in that sentiment.

There's no "general consensus" or "mentions over the last few months as a whale".

Recruiting is fluid. Rankings are fluid. What was true "over the last few months" may no longer be true today.

Hmmm, might there be a REASON why Jayden Jackson is a bigger recruit today than he was "a few months ago"? I wonder...

When you are recruiting you do this for every recruit that commits. You cannot be selective on who you do it for… that’s just the way the game is played these days.

You make every recruit feel like they were a priority. Kids aren’t dumb they see right through these things
