Texas had a WR commit today. These guys have 5 commits and are #56. Yall man are not gonna tell me that playing time is not an issue. They better turn up this year. Because like i said, no one is immune from their recruiting falling off if 3,4 years in you cant show significant progress and that is not gonna mean Sarkisan is a bad recruiter, you need validation to the vision. When u validate then kids will be ok waiting their turn like they do at UGA, Bama and Ohio. We have to show progress this year like they did and then next year we will be on the clock.

Sark has validated his vision for WRs. They've attacked adding bodies to the WR room through recruiting and through the transfer portal. It's cause kids know in Sarks offense with a stud QB like Ewers or Murphy or Manning, in his offense, they'll do numbers. And each year Texas has progressed under Sark.
5-7 (#5 class)
8-5 (#3 class)

I liken our trajectory to be the same as Texas with Sark. We can go 8-4 this year, and land a top 5 class, and we're going to get kids who don't mind sitting behind Francis or Samson. Or they don't mind paying dues at Guard til they can kick out to Tackle. Right now, I don't think any of our position groups are going to scare kids away from committing unless it's OTs.

Not what im talking about. Im talking about them having 5 commits because of the two top 5 class they brought in back to back. Without that Gibson would already have committed there.

Aint disputed anything with his WR production. U can sell PT first, then u have to sell development and wins.

Texas only has 5 commits right now, but three of them are 4* recruits and one is a punter. They're ranked 56th overall, but they're currently 18th in average star rating.

Without following UT closely in battles that don't involve Miami targets, I assume they're just big game hunting and being selective without accepting placeholder commits from lower-priority targets.

I also assume, like Miami, they're waiting on a wave of elite talent to hop on board to really jump start their 2024 class.

Did we drop anyone last year? I can’t remember but I don’t believe we did

People kept assuming or suggesting that we would drop Frankie because of all the OL we were bringing in but it never ever was considered

This whole dropping thing doesn’t seem to be Mario’s M.O.
Right. It’s clear that Mario believes that, if u know what you’re looking for, and u do your evaluations the right way, there shouldn’t be a need for too many “drops” happening.

Let’s be consistent here

Its way to early, I remember around this time last year people were saying what happened to Jimbo and even with a trash season and people jumping ship they still brought in a solid class. If texas has a decent season seems like a top 10 class is a lock.

Bringing in a solid class is not the same as bringing in a top 5, then a top 3 class. Also Jimbo class that broke all kinda records is not the same as the one they brought in after. Results must follow for you to maintain those top 7, top 5 class yearly. There is a difference, big one between a class ranked #17 and one ranked #1. Huge. If thats a 4 year averge, one gets road graded by 35 points.

is this not a message board about canes football lmao?

I made a statement that if this hype was not centered around a massive commit then it would misguided and bush league

just so I'm clear, do we all need to check with you before posting opinions on here?

you guys can call me negative but there's a difference in being a realist and being a pessimist. I've spent a decade on here being optimistic, the fact that I occasionally don't slurp as hard as you guys on occasional issues doesn't mean that I think negatively of the team or Mario in general. we'll be fine on the recruiting trail... that doesn't change that it would be weird and bush league if there's all these tweets around a good but not great player like jackson

last time I checked UGA and bama didn't do that AND their fans aren't so worried about that bs
This isn't bama or uga! And, how do you know that they don't do that?

Who is this Brad Tejada guy and why does he keep popping up on my Twitter when I don't follow him? All he's doing is hyping up stuff. But is he really plugged in?
He is on here, you can @ him and ask yourself.. Also he is on the podcast with dmoney/pete on here also.. He is affiliated with this site and podcast
