What coaching searches have you been following? There are always rumors. Even Ferman knew Whipple was considering coming here. Of course he is Ferman so he thought there was no chance of it happening.

If there are interviews taking place, or a coach is talking to other coaches, sure there can be rumors. My point is, none of these rumors seem to be coming from here, they are coming from Trailerhassee, which smacks of Coley just trying to get himself a raise. What current coach leaks info that he is considering a lateral move to a rival school, unless he is looking for a raise? If he really was serious about making the move, he's not going to just put that out there for no reason.

This info isn't coming from the press. If he was certainly just looking for a raise wouldn't this stuff be leaked to the Tally papers and national publications. Unless Pete has Tally connections to his info would be coming from Miami.

Pete gave an update yesterday too. And why would they leak it to a message board poster and not somebody at ESPN or the Tally Democrat? Doesn't seem like the most effective way of getting things like a raise done.

DA FUGG? 500K and full control? For a guy who has called plays for ONE year at FIU? This HAS to be about the recruits he can pull if true.

Seems that way, also seems Cristobal would have put a very good word in for Coley for Al to move this quickly. He seemed to really take his time last time around and this year with the WR coach search.

Dude Im not trying to be negative, I just dont see how our mirror FSU fan website rumor mill, reporting the same rumor that we are talking about here, is somehow confirmation of anything other than rumors floating around that we offered the guy. It might all be true. Like I said in my FIRST post in this thread, Id feel a lot better if it was coming from UM sources, not people around Coley.

If jimbo really is a micro manager thats not something you just turn off. Micromanagers can't help themselves its what makes them annoying. If this is true it aint about money. Its about getting the **** away from a micro manager and having the opportunity to grow professionally.

This Brandt guy isn't a reputable source so we'll see. He would be the OC. Why wouldn't he have full control?

We understand but this at least confirms the dude has been offered the job. He may be making a play but he has obviously sent out feelers for this job. He does have interest.

Let me rephrase. I didnt mean control to call plays, but one would think the HC would have SOME say in the type of offense we run, especially with a young OC who has exactly ONE year of playcalling experience. To me the idea of "full control" implies they guy can put in any system he wants. Maybe we are just talking semantics here and they just meant playcalling responsibilities and gameplanning.
