Dude Im not trying to be negative, I just dont see how our mirror FSU fan website rumor mill, reporting the same rumor that we are talking about here, is somehow confirmation of anything other than rumors floating around that we offered the guy. It might all be true. Like I said in my FIRST post in this thread, Id feel a lot better if it was coming from UM sources, not people around Coley.

We understand but this at least confirms the dude has been offered the job. He may be making a play but he has obviously sent out feelers for this job. He does have interest.

The Warchant post? How. Its simply saying what we already knew that "sources" are saying he got offered the job. But those "sources" that told D$, are people close to Coley, and weve already established that there is a vested interest in him wanting to put that out there to get a raise, IF its a ploy. Im just saying, Warchant reporting rumors, is not confirmation that there IS an offer.

Guys, lets remember how many times this f8cking clown show has taken place. Spurrier to UM, LEach to UM, Gruden to Miami, Players Notified, etc..etc..etc..

Lets wait til we get some actual confirmation, or at least some sources from the UM side before we start s*cking eachother's d*cks here.

Im guessing you werent around for the "Spurrier to Miami" days. Or the "Leach will be the HC with Shannon as DC" days. Or the "Gruden to Miami, players notified" days, or the "Koetter is the new OC" days. and on and on and on. This happens EVERY time we are hiring a new coach. Excuse me if Im not taking some random rumors all coming from the side of one coach at a rival school, as confirmation of anything.

Not sure, because UM is a private school, and doesn't have to post salaries publicly.

Miami can afford bigtime coaches. Would get outbid by a Tejas, Bammer, or Oregon? Most likely. Doesn't mean we get outbid by 95% of programs out there.

I love this hire, if it happens. IDGAF if he only has one year of experience calling plays. I have faith in Golden. I pushed my stack to the middle of the table quite some time ago. Ride or die with the tie, baby.

Miami is a private institution and they do not leak coaches salaries. I don't know how you can verify such information.

Jimbo is going to have to cough up play calling duties eventually. For Gran to go back to FSU, I'd imagine it would be a step back from the full control he has over the Cincy offense.

I wonder how much of this movement away from Jimbo's micromanagement has to do with neither Gran or Cooley getting the FIU job. Both had connections to south Florida, but neither were given leeway in control of the offense, there in by leaving some questionable holes in the resume. Both probably figure "if I want to be a head coach, I have to separate myself from Jimbo".
