Question just for discussion: How many of you would OK if we lost Collins but signed Coley and Chestnut?

Still lots of time between now and NSD. We have what most top programs can not offer, and that is playing time. Whoever we sign will have to play early and often. Don't underestimate how important early playing time is to many of these kids. And it wouldn't surprise me in the least that at the end of the day Collins comes back to us because of that very reason.

Collins ain't the brightest kid in the world as shown by his approach to this process and his low grades and test scores.

FSU is super dep at RB.

James Wilder So.
Devonta Freeman So.
Mario Pender Fr.
Ryan Green RFr.

Terrible decision by this kid.

He would be our #2 back next year.

I didn't realize he already committed to FSU..

Also leaving Thompson off that list. **** is far from over.

I love Coley but no, I would be ****ed off. Chestnut is solid but I think Collins is the type of kid that wins games for his team.

I feel bad for the kid, I feel himself personally is in a bad position. I'm sure he knows deep down that we are the right school for him to better himself and it's better for his future. But with his boy who he wants to see go to school he'd feel bad not helping him out so he has to consider fsu ans Wisconsin

Trust me, Sony may be the #1 FOOTBALL PLAYER in America when he comes out, and we've seen what Duke can do.

That's no knock on Collins, but he's not better than either.

dude.......... lmao

So was Bryce Brown? The Highlights and physical attributes say that Collins is right there with Sony. Do you have some phenomenal highlight package or game footage to support your claims? cuz right now you're just shouting things and then dismissing all else with laughter.

Michel led Broward county in rushing as an EIGHTH GRADER!!!!!!!

He's on a level Collins never dreamed of as a HS Junior. I don't go by tapes, Jeff Luc had one of the finest linebacker tapes I ever saw, where's he genius????

Trust me son, Michel > Duke > Collins

If HS tapes solved everything than Noel Devine would lead the NFL in rushing every season. But if it makes your day go look up Sonys tapes, he's been on the National scene since Junior High, there MIGHT be some out there........

This. Seems he's honestly struggling with this decision.

The obvious answer here is that you can't evaluate talent and don't understand how the HS evaluation process works, so no we're not gonna trust you. Keep typing in caps lock and throwing in exclamation marks and maybe someone will believe you.

Lol, I'll put LB's evaluation's up against anyone on here. Dude knows his ****.

Who cares ? Michel is a 2014 prospect. We need RBs now. Ideally we get both Sony and Collins.

I feel sorry for the people that didn't see this coming. At the end of the day, his coach (whom he lives with), is a scumbag that dislikes Miami.

Oh word?

Having known Doug Gatewood back in the late 90's when my brother played for him at Piper, I remember he was a fan of kids getting out of SoFla. However Quad Hill (same grad class of '00) was set on staying home. They had a pretty dominant offense that year, and the WR's went to Iowa, U Conn, and my brother chose a full ride at Bucknell to get his education. Not gonna say Doug is a bad guy, but if you live with someone with that mindset who just happens to be your coach, this is what happens. However, I think this kid could still be ours for the taking come february. Let the hat game begin!

LB is the goods, but he had Kelvin Taylor > Alex Collins.

I'm sorry, but **** no.

told you guys. i think the looming sanctions are what scared him off. surprised it hasn't happened more often.

That's a pretty bold statement....who are you referencing? Collins' stock is gonna skyrocket after his Sr season when he's reevaluated.

Friendly wager Sony is rated higher than Collins coming out of HS??

Why he's a five-star: "Michel is an effortless runner who doesn't look like he's at full speed but rarely gets angled off when he gets to the outside. He has tremendous start-stop ability, good vision, and he is able to bounce off tackles and keep his balance even when at full speed. Michel has breakaway speed and is deceptively strong for his size. He is probably the most hyped runner coming out of Florida since Noel Devine
