Michigan State now = Miami

Jesus some of you have ****ing lost it.

It's cray how far gone some of these dudes are. Their brains have gone to mush from trying to generate apologies for Al's buffoonery. Now, Michigan State is somehow a comparable program to Miami? I've seen it all now.

when your POVs were running rampant on this site like a plague.

Oh, the irony...

lol the irony what?

Everything i said a couple weeks ago before it was popular opinion, is being said by the majority on this site now.

I said Dorito should be fired after the FSU game and all the Golden/Dorito slurpers like you were crying to the mods.... then the VT game proved that my opinions was right.... see what you dont get is i'm just ahead of the curb so it takes awhile for some to comprehend.

See i was bold enough to say **** before it was popular opinion and you didnt see me *****ing about "advancing the discussion" to Lu like some ****** b/c dudes were acting like i was clueless.

Now i'm of the conclusion that Al Golden should be fired b/c he's a joke of a Head Coach and WOAT at Miami.

Now look at you..... just to stubburn to admit that you've been clueless this entire time b/c ur firmly planted on ur knees waiting for that juice to flow, all u do is repeat the same dumb**** excuses you and the other few clueless individuals who agree w/ you have been saying a month ago.

The only "edit" you all have is now ur willing to throw D'onofrio under the bus but Golden well "i still have a bunch of excuses as to why i love him" lol gtfoh

Blame Randy Shannon, Blame the NCAA, Blame Stephen Morris, Blame James Coley, now it's D'onofrio....... everybody but Al Golden.

There's nothing to advance, you Big Sky Quad City and the rest of the bird brains bring nothing new to the table..... just a bunch of parrots repeating whatever pro Golden bs you can think of.

crying b/c he's getting jumped on, stand up on yo own and explain yo position....

it's not legit it's the same bs that you and every other Golden slurper, like Big Sky were saying when your POVs were running rampant on this site like a plague.

All you do is point fingers at everybody else it's pathetic.

I guarantee you've done 100 times more slurping of Golden (and Donofrio) than I've done during the Golden tenure (you would have been considered fan boy #1 prior to the FSU game) and now that you've done a complete 180 your point is now all of a sudden valid? Because I don't think the whole program is an abortion and we need to fire all the coaches, I'm a slurper? You are hopeless. I've always held an give a **** opinion on Donofrio. Never posted 1 negative or positive thing about the guy. It's Goldens defense, always was. He'll have to fix it.

You were the definition of the plague you speak of.....don't try to distance yourself from it now dip****.

I've never blamed anyone for our problems the last three weeks. It is Al's issue....it's his team. He has to (in his words) "own it". I like James Coley, I think he has things to work on but I like his upside.

There really is no defending the defense at this point. I think (right or wrong) that Al has the goods to get it corrected.

Look how dumb you sound.... You cant "guarantee" **** you been stalking this boards cliking "like" on every retarded *** post that supports Golden and Dorito to no end like dont nobody see yo lame ***.

GTFOH everybody on this site but you and ur retarded *** friends have done a "180" when it comes to this coaching staff.

You never seen me slurp Dorito like he was somebody that cant be touched like how you and others were doing before the VT game.... I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt going into the season, but once conference play started was when i was done w/ him.

Al Golden yeah i supported him too, but NEWS FLASH, he is the Head Coach of a Miami team that lost to Duke University... that's where my support is, it's still in Durham, NC. **** Al Golden's non coaching ***.

You need a do a better job w/ ur responses buddy, it's not holding up under pressure.

Zone is "advancing the discussion". Continue on!

I "like" good arguments on both sides. If people make solid points, I like them. Doesn't mean I agree with every single point in the thread. Chise and Lu have made very good arguments for concern. I've liked those post too, because they have merit.

I don't like your posts because you're an incoherent ******.

Ok, I let the squabble go on for a bit. Take it to PM now, please. Tell each other whatever you'd like through there. Thanks.

If we finish 8-5 and have another 7-6 year next year, he's in big trouble.

If he goes 7-6 next year, then the team quit on him, because the schedule isn't difficult.

I think 9-4 or 10-3 is more likely, and that won't get him fired.

But the schedule this year isn't difficult and look what's happened.

And yet, 7-6 isn't a likely finish. Plus we'll have more talent everywhere next year.

The injury bug bit the **** outta our a$$ this year.

Or let's all run around incessantly and whine like little girls. Nobody is apologizing for Golden. On a side note, Michigan State won 11 games in 2010 and 2011 and they're 9-1 right now and ranked. If Miami was in the same situation right now, I'm sure most of the folks on here wouldn't be complaining nearly as loudly.

Like I said in another thread if Golden doesn't get his act together, then he'll eventually find a seat on the carousel of ex-head coaches.

so what if Golden wins the rest of the season including bowl game?

He better win UVA and Pitt. They're awful.

After we squeak out barn burners in those, I expect him to fire his butt buddy and hire someone like Leavitt or Wannstedt to install a real defense

I don't really care too much about TAM running a train on Our defense as long as Doh'nofrio isn't in Atlanta corching it

Win out despite Doh'nofrio, trash the *** defense and hire a real DC

Do that, and I will wait and see

Perhaps an elite coach like Saban would've had this thing rolling in year 2 or 3, but this is the hand we were dealt. It took Butch 6 years. I'm not comparing Golden or his situation to Butch (although there are some parallels). I'm just saying that regardless of the confluence of circumstances, it took 6 years.

I don't think we're contenders next year (unless Olsen wins the job and balls out like Johnny Football or something), but I think we'll be at that level in 2015 and definitely 2016 if Golden continues to recruit well.

I think the offense is going to thrive. There's just too much talent coming in, including probably the best O-line haul in the country. The wealth of playmakers on offense alone will keep the program from bottoming out.

Whether or not you find that acceptable, are you emotionally prepared for it? Because that's what's staring us in the face.

Haven't read through whole thread, so apologize if this has been mentioned ...

It's taken FSU/Jimbo 4 years (or 6 years if you include his tenure as OC/co-head coach) to get FSU to elite status.

Using Jimbo as an example, it took him 4 years to get to elite status, that's fine. One key difference being that historically, great coaches start to turn the corner in their third season, when their impact on the program really starts to show up on the field.

Jimbo went 12-2 and won the ACC in his third season. His two losses came against an 11-2 UF team by 11 points, and a 1 point loss on the road to NC State.
He had the 19th total offense and 2nd total defense in the country.

We've blown back-to-back chances to win the Coastal, appear to have made no improvements on defense despite returning 10 starters, have lost 3 straight, and were out-coached and outplayed in 3 straight contests. Nothing on the field really gives anyone hope or any indication that Golden will suddenly lumber onto the field with a juggernaut behind him. Not me, at least.

I don't understand this line of thinking. You're on a message board designed to discuss Miami Hurricanes football. It just so happens this current state of that is a trainwreck. It's going to e discussed. Just because the product is awful and people are commenting on it doesn't make it "whining like little girls." It sounds like you can't take hearing the reality of just how bad things are.

When did this guy become the clear-minded, reasonable guy? Agree w/ other posters or not, this is an imperfect message board. Sure, disagree with how people express their opinions, but it's a ****** time to be a Miami Hurricane fan right now and the likelihood is most posts will look like venting.

I'd agree with you that year #3 is key for a new head coach. Your 1st class as a HC is now upperclassmen. But, you can't compare year 3 Golden to year 3 Jimbo. One, there's that NCAA thing. Two, Jimbo didn't have to jump in mid-stream and try to pick up where previous coach left off like Golden had to do since Jimbo had already been there 2 years.

Personally, I give him a pass for that class because of the circumstances. I think his 3rd season is likely closer to what we see next season.

That being said, that first class was still a failure, by and large. The best player is God knows where (EJ) and way too many academic casualties. 7 of the 18 are no longer here. That's bad. That failure is on his lap (justified or not, fair or not).
