Mario may be in the how the f cares phase. He sounds like a charismatic driven guy who people seem to love. But dont think for one second an old school 90's OL cant be a massive tyrant.

Rad is the one who needs to look at Mario and say do what needs to be done. I got you.

Tulane is in the process of gathering information about tampering. What they do with it, who knows. It's not just about Guidry/Sam/Miami. Coach Fritz has been livid about schools trying to tamper (or tampering) with Tulane all season, especially after the Cotton Bowl. Florida tried to get Pratt into the portal, which he laughed at, but Fritz wasn't laughing. He went off (which he never does, he's usually pretty calm and levelheaded) on a radio show during the season (without mentioning schools, but it was obvious who he was talking about. And I got it confirmed that it was UF).

Another thing Tulane is upset about, is that Guidry promised he wouldn't take any Tulane players (read Sam) with him to Miami.
He should follow his own advice and not take valued players from other teams (Sam). Hypocrite!

i love this..I never understood why we triee so hard to be the choir boys…and I’m not saying our players should be getting arrested I’m talking about we can get down and dirty and be proud of it
yep and its the admins that are delusional an thinking they are on the line of duke or stanford or some sh*t.

Literally 80% of ppl in the country think the Univ of Miami is a state school, located in the hood.

Tua's entire family moved from hawaii to bama an not even a sniff. UGA dropped bags for years to get where they are at...n clemson has it down to a science...but here we are talking about is it worth going to war with...TULANE....**** EM.

Them ninjas on ESPN. (WHO RUN COLLEGE FOOTBALL BY THE WAY REALLY) Have been d*ck riding USC for get it....TAMPERING..n their portal tranfers since their coach got there...USC has been back channelling like a mfer and tampering the whole time.

This Fritz dude mad about Guidry saying he wont take a kid?. Meanwhile he can up n leave whenever he is ready and the kid never played adown for em...but he aint gonna be going hard when kid picks lsu.

Only concern or advice here should be from the in-house compliance folks. They should be able to duly advise if there’s a potential issue or rule that may pertain - or if Miami is free to enroll the player. They obviously can call NCAA & be clear on interpretation of any rules. Seems easy to resolve any issue in advance.

If it's an easy matter to resolve, then certainly. But we know big bureaucracies are inefficient, drag matters out, and could care less about how it impacts the institution. And when it comes to UM the NCAA is not doing us any favors.

Really not enough in depth info on this for me to feel one way or another.

Seems like this would be shortsighted on Tulane's part

If they can allege tampering to get him to Miami, same logic says Guidry tampering got Sam to Tulane in the first place

You're opening yourself up to questions about your own recruiting practices
One programs AD is on probation and the others isnt

Thank you for that stream of consciousness. I was going to reply back that that was a waste of a post. Except it has higher value content in it than 75% of the posts on here.

Just another way of saying there’s a lot of strong feelings in this thread with very little info… but I hear ya

Today is the day to be in right? @TheOriginalCane

Tomorrow, 5 pm. Unless we pull a University of Florida trick and keep the registrar's office open until midnight.

After that, it's either Summer B or Fall semester.

Does he start over either of their safeties? Why go somewhere on your money year to not start or get major burn?

He's from Louisiana. I think that's the draw.

Not a starter at LSU. Possibly not even a starter at UM. Close call for the kid to have to make.

Honestly, I think UM has a greater "need", in that our second-string safeties are probably not as good as LSU's second-string safeties.
