I’m hoping we see a bit of a middle ground between Steele (not necessarily what we did last year but Steeles track record on D) and DiazCommunication was so bad last year on defense. Miscommunications leading to an inordinate amount of big plays. Steeles defense was supposed to be structurally sound but what we got was bend don’t break passive defense that broke against any offense with a pulse.
At minimum Guidry is going to attack and confuse some teams. That involves exotic blitzes and moving players all over. I can’t wait to see the defense this fall. Call me crazy but I think our defense can be really good. We saw more creativity in the spring game than we did all last season smh
