A lot of you guys keep making the mistake of using your own rationale for someone else's decision. No one knows what factors Matter and his family are considering. We’re all Canes fans so of course it’s complete idiocy for him to go anywhere else, but we are nowhere near objective.
I agree that most of us can’t be objective with this stuff. With that said…. Objectively Miami has an easier path to the playoffs, has an offensive scheme that would allow him to showcase his talents for the next level, has a SIGNIFICANTLY better OL, is bringing in more talented receivers from the portal for visits than OU, is going to offer an excellent NIL package including one that allows him to not pay income taxes, and is program that has improved year over year all three years under Mario. Objectively Miami is a better situation than OU. But as you said no one knows what’s important for him and his family. Maybe OU being the close to home school is too much to over come, but to not consider and hear out Miamis pitch would be insane on his part.

lmao first it was 2M then 3M now 6M. every hour that passes the OU boards are gonna add a milly to our "proposed offer"
I love to hear it. Sounds like they’re building the narrative when they miss

I think most of us understood when Hurts went to OU when Lincoln Riley was there. We’re biased but it’s pretty clear cut on the field here

i dotn disagree but mario didnt listen to Zo and rad got hired after mario.
Wow. See, I don't like that structure. It explains a lot in terms of the roster and uneven results. Mario has way too much control and the team is not good enough to warrant this. Who is he to not listen to an NFL exec who specialized in player evaluation?

I understand the desire to be close to home and with coaches he’s familiar with, but I would think it’s worth giving that up for a school that may just give you the better chance at being a Heisman finalist and first round pick (and likely a better supporting cast but tbd on that).
**** it….F$@k the Heisman!!

I’m trying to be as objective as possible here.

I assume you want to get a head start and on everything including throwing to your targets. Meshing with your o line etc etc.

We won 10 games maybe 11 while they won 6.
Ok has a **** poor oline. Receivers and even has oline jumping ship while a potential star qb is visiting.

I’m also trying really hard to not believe this was a courtesy visit because Of his qb coach and oc are there.
But you have to be loyal to yourself before anything and I see no way shape or form how Oklahoma can guarantee a better oline or better receivers and running than us by game 1.

But recruiting is a crazy game where crazy sit happens.
