I'm not saying he'll attract the most elite WRs but he's at least known so he'll provide a certain level of assurance to guys who really want to come to Miami whereas Emory could absolutely be a bust.
I kind of think the same. Atleast Mendoza has 2 years of starting experience

doubt it. ive said this when he got hired. nothing against him and he was successful at Oregon, but for a school w the lack of funds so to speak in terms of say LSU, Bama, UGA, ATM - we should have never given a lifetime deal we couldn't get out of. should have been 5 years on whatever number he want and then go from there. if he says no, you move on and actually interview guys (something we haven't done since golden)
our fans would have gone nuts if we hired Dillingham or Lashlee. Yet both are in the playoffs and we are stuck with the Universe's greatest recruiter........ :hh9beelfgeoezuwg.jpg:

I’ve been saying we got Mario 6-7 years too late. He would’ve been better for us if he’s hired instead of Manny because recruiting was still a thing.

Now, his greatest strength has mostly been neutered or at least nullified by 60-70%. The portal and NIL is where it’s at and in 4 years, he’s had a difficult go at the adjustment where maybe if he had a chance to really build this up for 6 years prior, it might be a bit less challenging.

However, on the present situation, he has to be better or this plane is not taking back off.

I try to step back and look at QB's like Mendoza and go "Ok this is what he did at Cal...If we truly believe our OL and skill players are that much better who knows what his ceiling is then."

If someone already has a million out for him clearly others see it the same way. 6'5 good arm, decent athlete, extremely bright from what I gather, and has played a lot of college snaps.

Is he Cam...most likely not. But on top of all that he seems like a great kid who didnt take one shot at us when we played. Could do worse having that kid in your qb room for one year with Nickel. And if he plays smart, we utilize the run a bit more we can likely be just as good.
I'd take the chance on Luke Nickel as backup. He has already shown more on the field than we expect from Emory.

we threw money at a problem. in recruiting you essentially throw money at a problem (you dont think we paid kids to sign here (not to the levels of UGA and Bama in terms of dollars but we paid kids too)).
Of course we paid players I'm not saying that. I'm saying I want to be on par with those teams. Why is everyone so defensive lol

Please sign him ASAP so we can use him to recruit WRs instead of waiting too long like we did with Cam.
