If mendoza is still even there. Theres apparently 4 or 5 teams interested in him. Not sure he's cool with being plan B. Unless he wants to come back home really badly

Mario is keeping the name out of the media. Heard he offered to name the Colombus football field after the family if Mendoza waited until Mateer eliminated us.

Heres what I don’t understand: Ohio, Oregon, Ole Miss and Gerogia are all losing their qbs but portal players are still lining up to play for them. How do we know Moore is better than Emory? How do we know Sayin or Stockton are any better than Emory? I’m getting sick and tired of playing using “I’ll have to wait to see how it plays out for them” card. At the end of the day, Money always wins. If we drop serious cash to get a team around Emory, those players are going to have a hard time saying no to that money

Because those teams have a track record of being successful or in Ole miss’s case in that list, Kiffin has the track record of being an offensive Guru. Meanwhile we just wasted the best QB in the country because we couldn’t stop the local JV team on defense and what has Mario proven as a coach?

More money + more consistent winning than we have recently. The rivals have successfully sold to recruits both hs & portal that our season was a flash in the pan. Obviously by early results it shows MC hasn't been able to combat this.

I look at it like this, Mendoza is the same type of QB as Emory. Miami needs someone who will attract a WR1.

If not, we are a running team next year with a solid oline. We've had back to back good WR classes but completely UNPROVEN.

More concerning is our defense, but I don't have the time or energy to get upset today

We just had the number one scoring offense. Mario’s track record at Oregon speaks for itself. Look at the numbers our WRs put up under Dawson in 2023. Look at Dawsons offensive stats at his previous stops. Has Georgia really been an offensive machine the last few years? No.

I'm not in any way wowed by Mendoza but he's definitely more athletic and dynamic than Emory

Ward and Mateer talk (Mateer has said this). And Mateer has said he loves seeing how Ward dominated cfb. So Cristobal has pulled a rabbit out of his hat before.

Also, it may be hard to believe but there is also chance Mateer isn’t all-in on Arbuckle. A lot of WSU fans are happy to see him go, they think he didn’t maximize Mateer’s ability. WSU lost its last 3 games in a row to truly pathetic teams.
Wasn’t too long ago WSU was in the running for a playoff spot having only 1 loss to BSU. Should easily have run the table from there and finished with 1 loss, but they ended up losing to University of New Mexico, Oregon State, and 3-9 Wyoming (where WSU only scored 14 pts!). A lot of that was them having a Guidry-like defense but that last one was really bad.

Hypothetically speaking, if Cam's OC went to FSU/Ohio St and it was a 2 hour drive from his hometown I highly doubt we would have even received a visit. According to a former Ohio St staffer Cam wanted to go to Ohio St but they didn't pick up his calls. I don't know how true that is, but if it is true it displays how stupid some of these coaches are.

Notice how those two answers you gave are completely unrelated to these players wanting to sit around and wait for our qb. Their excuse is absolute bs
