Put this kid at 3-tech and work on his conditioning and my lord
Only knock I have heard on him is consistency/motor. He clearly has the size and athleticism. Now its about how much he wants to be great.
Anez is talented enough to play either side of the ball but I’m starting to lean more and more on him playing dt honestly . He moves surprisingly very well for his sizeDoes Anez Cooper joint him on DL? or stay on the Offensive line? Would be a jumbo D-line with those 2 up front
Good because he will have some competition for playing time. It’s understandable after watching the film that he may have been under motivated at times in high school while lining up opposite a 200 pound guard. Some guys want to kill everyone (Michael Jordan, Kobe) and you are correct that some clearly play better with higher stakes.@Coach Macho said he plays up to his competition. So that's good enough for me. Mario, Feld and Salave'a will keep him focused enough.
Probably being from Piper before transferring to CG. Piper was horrendousWatching the kids highlights definitely leaves me wondering how he slipped through the cracks and how is he rated so lowly? Not a camp guy? Late bloomer? Bad competition level? Combo of all of that?
Doesn't make sense. Production and great size, good motor, moves well for his size. Maybe I just have some orange and green glasses on
Interesting claim.Best DL coach coaching him in South Florida bar none.
Jack would've been a great college coach for the past 25 years if he wasn't running a multi million dollar business.Interesting claim.
I mean we're only seeing the highlights.I personally loved the Moten pick up. His tape looks better then his brother's, personally. Like others have said, I don't see an issue with his motor, maybe conditioning. Which the latter is probably an issue with a lot of DL hitting college.
People never watch full games to see a full story. He’s chasing Mark Fletcher and taking on double teams most of the game I posted. If he isn’t being doubled, he’s too quick for that one person trying to block him. He's not rated as high because he was a late bloomer. The kid is probably a legit 4-star talent.
And as far as motor...
Let's not get carried away with the regurgitated cliche Kiper talk.
NO 300 POUND HIGH SCHOOL KID HAS A MOTOR THAT'S ALWAYS ON 100!!!
His film shows that he's willing to stay in the fight and chase the ball down. The first play on his film is motor 101.
In college he'll have better nutrition, better conditioning and he won't have to play 100% of the snaps.
that could be a conditioning issue more so than a motivational one.
