A quick update after talking to some people

Yeah and we still had the worst season and several of our worst losses in decades thanks to Mario.
Blowout to MTSU
Blowout to Duke
Blowout to FSU in front of tons of recruits and a full stadium
Blowout to Pitt on senior night
Embarrassing loss to A&M with 0 TDs

How many quarters did we go again without scoring a TD? 9?

It's easy to argue that even with record spending and investing in the program that under Mario's watch he's allowed it to sink to new lows that many of us haven't experienced in our lifetime.
At what point do you start look at the future and not giving a **** about the past. I mean I get it but let's move on. I don't see anything positive or productive on analyzing this past season. It is over down the toilet gone. Let's move the $&#@ on. If they go 8 and 4 and look good that is an improvement if you ask me. It is saddening and depressing as **** for people to blog all this gloom and doom. Chili out. That is all I am saying man. Reading these sad *** comments are unbearable.

DMoney..I won’t panic until we start missing on our 5* targets and you tell us it ain’t because of NIL money. These kids just aren’t convinced in the product or the coaching staff. Then I’ll panic.

well it's july 1st

it's okay to complain about june but complaining about july at this point is dumb
This is in response to us fading on Scott and all the negative news. Desperately need to get Chris cole, Lightfoot, one of the big TE or some other big name to get some momentum going

They can be 8-0 come November 1st but almost everyone will be already committed elsewhere
Yea, that’s what I mean. We can solidify some with a record, but the “🐳” we gotta go ahead and pay for, and I hate saying this, similar to what UF is doing.

The future is driven by past metrics. We don't just walk up into next season and say 10 wins after we posted 5 just 7 months prior. I get your point to not dwell on the past, but nothing starts from nowhere except the birth of JC.

This is really scary. From the biggest June ever to a fkn fart. This guy showed he didn’t have it on the field last year. So we were going to rely on stacking talent and go from there. Well, signs are starting to point to us having over estimated that side of the equation too.

With the coordinator excuse out the window, if we have another ****poor year and he doesn’t deliver in December with a top 10 class …. I know exactly where this is heading. And it’s the same as Larry, Randy, Al and Manny.

Holy ****… So NOW people are admitting wins matter, 2022 was a dumpster fire and questioning Mario’s plan…

Laugh to keep from crying…

“Any competent coach should win the ACC at Miami”

“Mario doesn’t get played by recruits”

“Miami feels good here…”

“Jason Taylor likes him…”

Exactly we have to figure that out soon or else the season does us no good for 2024 guys

5-7 isn't the past. That's our present record and all Mario can point to currently.

8-4 is only an improvement because of how pathetically bad Mario was in year 1.

Go back to before Mario was hired and NOBODY would have been happy with an 8-4 season for year 2. Seriously... 2 years in and 10s of millions of $$$ for a 1 game improvement over what we had from Manny for a fraction of the cost?!

Mario dug himself and this program into a huge hole with literally the worst case scenario he created last [BGCOLOR=initial]year. I don't think anybody could have imagined or drawn it up as bad as he executed it.[/BGCOLOR]

I guess in some ways he's a genius. He was so bad in year 1 that we have true Miami Hurricane fans bragging about possibly going 8-4 in the pathetic ACC as some kind of monumental/program building achievement when that normally would be reserved for 10-2 type season at worst. Good for Mario for dumbing down expectations.

It’s time to start panicking brother. He’s already telling you Scott isn’t likely anymore. We aren’t really all that confident in anyone in particular. Maybe Franklin.

We aren’t in a good spot. We sucked on the field and being a relentless recruiter isn’t enough against schools with staffs full of assistants recruiting at the same level or better.

Mario has to win on the field. Or he’s going to find himself winning/losing recruiting battles with West Virginia and Nebraska instead of Bama and OSU… the same way Golden, Richt, and Manny did.

Sadly after 1 year it’s already starting to happen.

I swear, we really need to change the site name to "Narrative Insight"

There's no way around it. Miami is taking a beating right now. The Barney loss was a whiff on a kid we wanted badly in our backyard. I'm not very confident in Justin Scott, either. Miami remains in other premier battles (and is doing great work with Kamarion Franklin, JoJo Trader, Zaquan Patterson, Artavius Jones and others) but there is zero momentum. We need to win badly, and we are going to be playing from behind in recruiting for the next few months because we didn't win last year.

They believe the roster is a hundred times better than last year- that belief needs to turn into wins and momentum on the field. Hopefully, there is some good news off the field coming soon. Until then, everyone is right to be concerned because the results speak for themselves.
