A quick update after talking to some people

Probably few here care but the baseball roster is in shambles for next year, with several portal-outs and drafts. Unless AROD comes thru there seriously doesn't seem to be enough NIL to attract top transfers. We certainly didn't shine in abundant top basketball pickups either (despite Final-4) for likely the same reason. So the finger-pointing at "wins" might be a bit less accurate than "money talks".

My main point is.....focusing on the hype before anything has been proven. now pleeeeeeeeease tell me how anything I said relating to JT is negative????

Surprising news. Kid was all Cane after OV. Nebraska comes in last minute and offers him something he can’t refuse. I’ve said it before, Miami isn’t going to over pay for certain kids/positions. No, it doesn’t mean we are “broke” neither. Train is moving on.

we recently got lofton and Riley who are two of the best in the nation at their position and priut who is hugely underrated. we have to win games to get alot of the top remaining kids. im not losing sleep over a kid no one was talking about on this board two weeks ago. Justin Scott would be a much bigger loss.

You really didn't read anything I said about JT if you think I'm being negative. I am simply talking about the undeserving hype that he has received before he has even had a chance to prove anything. You're getting too soft dawg.

I understand what you're saying, you and half the board are spiraling about the whole staff now due to barney choosing nebraska

I'm not the soft one. R-E-L-A-X, still plenty of big fish left

Baseball program will be in in a rut for a year or two. And losing Yo-yo and Walters takes a lot of fun out of it. And let’s not talk about the coaching hire. It’s as bad as Shannon - you don’t promote from within from a failed staff. Wouldn’t that be coaching search 101? But don’t want to go there really.

Football is in shambles. It really is. I think the writing is already on the wall for where we are heading. A lot will try to deny it now for one reason or another but it’s truthfully grim.

I am not giving up on Hoops yet though. I got faith in L and the Cleveland transfer along with Omier and Pack staying were huge. No reason they can’t make another nice run in 2023-24.

Pretty sure Mario isn’t happy but not losing sleep either. It was commit or we moving on. Kid made his decision. There is a reason he was given an ultimatum.

They believe the roster is a hundred times better than last year- that belief needs to turn into wins and momentum on the field. Hopefully, there is some good news off the field coming soon. Until then, everyone is right to be concerned because the results speak for themselves.

Boy this changed mighty quickly from the previous updates about all the whales lol... just from 1 or 2 so so guys not committing....🤔...#watchthefinish

I’m done predicting wins and losses for awhile, but I do believe Miami will be improved this season. Perhaps significantly improved. I like Dawson a good amount and Guidry was a home run.

I don’t think the panic on here is about Barney solely. He’s just a small straw that broke the camel’s back.

So many of the top croots are off the board and we have all our eggs in just a few baskets. And we saw tonight how quickly things can just go the wrong way.

"due to barney choosing nebraska"....... Naw lol. it's not just that. This has been going on all summer. We've been getting our butts fried on the trail. Like I said before. The spiraling is more towards the HYPE that was injected into the fanbase. Even thought I saw through most of it, I can understand a bit where the disappointing feeling is coming from so yeah, I'm going to speak on what's currently happening. And yeah true, plenty big fish left. Won't argue that.

That isn’t a positive. Miami doesn’t have a history of developing kids and winning. The last season was abysmal. They HAVE to overpay for anyone to take them seriously. If you don’t overpay you end up with the results we have right now…
