Like I said in another thread, I only shoot as straight as what I’m told with people close and involved to these recruitments. Miami (staff) has felt good about a lot of these battles. They were blindsided with Barney today.I get that but if that is the case why did we expect such a great summer of recruiting? Goal posts are being moved.
Wouldn’t have been mad about that either. The proper hire was Hugh Freeze.
with the ability to overturn a roster in one offseason, I think an 8-4 season would have been a disappointment no matter what occurred in the offseasonSuddenly, an 8-4 season seems like a disappointment since its crucial to our recruiting fortunes.
Yeah didn’t mean you specifically. Just that this staff seems like they misread a lot of this. I listen to your spaces weekly and really enjoy them.Like I said in another thread, I only shoot as straight as what I’m told with people close and involved to these recruitments. July is going to tell a lot if it was just wishful thinking from the staff.
Well let’s hope this right hook woke them up and they understand what they are doing as far as vision, NIL, etc. is starting to wane.Like I said in another thread, I only shoot as straight as what I’m told with people close and involved to these recruitments. Yeah like Nebraska. Record breaking corn haulingTo add on, I handle a lot of content with these guys. I’ve said for months that you can only sell a vision for so long, NIL can only go so far… you have to show results.
I was aiming for 9-3. But given the recruiting drop, we NEED to perform. Dawson and Guidry better show their worth this season.with the ability to overturn a roster in one offseason, I think an 8-4 season would have been a disappointment no matter what occurred in the offseason
TruthRemember last year when all the talk was "Miami is committed to winning now, we're spending money now, yada yada." Yeah well that was all a bunch of bull****, wasn't it?
Texas A&M can tell you for a fact that line of thinking is bull****. They were in our exact same situation, they had a horrible season two years ago, and followed it up with the greatest recruiting class in the history of recruiting classes the very next cycle, headlined by a bunch of 5* defensive linemen. Por que? Because they spent big.
So the whole "we need to win" excuse is just more bull**** to keep y'all placated with a glimmer of hope, if we just win we'll land a great class. Then they'll let you down easy in February with "well it was just a little too late" or "they need to see more than one good season."
You want the truth, the truth is we're not landing big time recruits because we're not big time committed. The admin lied to you. It's the same old Miami as always.
We're not spending the NIL money we were last year. We had one guy dropping all the bags, and that guy is nowhere to be seen this year for various reasons. That's what it's about. Recruiting took a hit because John Ruiz went missing.
The last time I said something like this, I got thrown in purgatory for 6 months. So we'll see if y'all want this opinion silenced or not this time around. But the evidence is right in front of us all. You can either be duped by promises of a better tomorrow, or you can believe what's staring you right in the face, it's up to you.
Fsu and Clemson doing fine. Next excuse?Kids aren't gonna commit to a ACC team, knowing that conference fate is dead.

Rhule will get that first year bump like most coaches. Mario has to prove something after the worst football season for UM in over 40 years.Yeah like Nebraska. Record breaking corn hauling
We need to win 10 games, beat FSU, and win the bowl game. And, right now, only the latter seems reasonable.Suddenly, an 8-4 season seems like a disappointment since its crucial to our recruiting fortunes.
