Like I said in another thread, I only shoot as straight as what I’m told with people close and involved to these recruitments. Miami (staff) has felt good about a lot of these battles. They were blindsided with Barney today.

July is going to tell a lot if it was just wishful thinking from the staff.

Yeah didn’t mean you specifically. Just that this staff seems like they misread a lot of this. I listen to your spaces weekly and really enjoy them.

Well let’s hope this right hook woke them up and they understand what they are doing as far as vision, NIL, etc. is starting to wane.
 
The Money is dried up. It's 2023, NIL is now the icing on the cake for College recruiting..We have a bakery of cakes waiting to be iced, but we don't have the icing to complete the process. Where is big bloodclaat long shovel mouth shark Ruiz at ?? Most of these recruites are beta male ******* raised by single mothers. There's no loyalty with these recruites for the most part.
It's now for Mario to put your money where your mouth is. If he don't produce wins , it's a death sentence for him. His ace in the pocket is recruiting, but he'll soon find out his black Cuban loafers have no tread left.

Texas A&M can tell you for a fact that line of thinking is bull****. They were in our exact same situation, they had a horrible season two years ago, and followed it up with the greatest recruiting class in the history of recruiting classes the very next cycle, headlined by a bunch of 5* defensive linemen. Por que? Because they spent big.

So the whole "we need to win" excuse is just more bull**** to keep y'all placated with a glimmer of hope, if we just win we'll land a great class. Then they'll let you down easy in February with "well it was just a little too late" or "they need to see more than one good season."

You want the truth, the truth is we're not landing big time recruits because we're not big time committed. The admin lied to you. It's the same old Miami as always.

We're not spending the NIL money we were last year. We had one guy dropping all the bags, and that guy is nowhere to be seen this year for various reasons. That's what it's about. Recruiting took a hit because John Ruiz went missing.

The last time I said something like this, I got thrown in purgatory for 6 months. So we'll see if y'all want this opinion silenced or not this time around. But the evidence is right in front of us all. You can either be duped by promises of a better tomorrow, or you can believe what's staring you right in the face, it's up to you.

Being right all the time can be both a curse and a blessing. This is one of those times it's a curse. I take no joy in having my exact predictions about Cristobal when he was hired come true. Also turns out I was right on who we should have hired

Been saying it for months that Mario wasn’t going to get the first year recruiting bump again and that it wasn’t going to be easy to pull off a top 10 class.

Been getting sh*t on left and right for saying it.

Last year We added some guys late in the cycle that we had recruited heavily all year but closed poorly on signing day. We had no juice left and the Gattis mess dragged on and on. We were losing kids in the portal we had no business losing.

Mario needs to win or we’ll be in big trouble.
