#7 Harris Again

Again, I’m not a football guru or talent evaluator. But it’s the same thing for the past three weeks. Trying to scheme away around defenses is what these people get paid millions of dollars to do. They found the weakness and everybody’s exposing it. Imagine if our defensive line wasn’t getting that much pressure, we would get lit up even worse.


I’ve written in other threads that this isn’t a scheme issue. This is a football IQ/talent issue.

If Kam had the speed and height that Harris does he would’ve been an early day one pick.

The thing is, nobody’s even asking for elite level talent; just enough to not make mistakes that give up chunk plays.

They can’t just hand to Patterson Harris’ snaps. He has to go get. Based on what we know about Mario not afraid to play young players, it appears the problem is with Patterson

Uh idk if you've seen them try to attack, but that hasn't ended well either lol.

Patterson came in a few times and looked solid. He needs to be that safety going forward. Harris cannot play as much as he has been anymore.

Just play discipline sound football. They guys just aren’t doing that rn. It’s that simple

#7 has been involved in at least 80% of the big play TDs against us this year. I have no idea how he's still on the field He does NOTHING well, Not 1 Thing.

#20 comes in, makes a couple plays (did miss an ankle tackle) nearly forces a fumble, Defense gets off the field. #7 goes back in, Touchdown. Like wtf is going on is Guidry that stubborn or just blind??

Need to shuffle a bunch of guys. Move 7 and 25 out. Move 2 back to outside CB maybe try meesh at nickle with 20 and 15 and safety. Gotta try something bc these big plays are INSANE

Whats crazy is Guidry is the safety coach brought in a guy who got beat out...lost his two starters and didnt think to bring in another guy in the summer. He knew they were bad im guessing he didnt expect this bad...but we as fans knew

We literally needed 4 more DBs. It was the number one complaint I had all off season. Even after they grabbed Meesh, I wanted two more safeties.. I also wanted 2 more CBs on top of Hill. Imagine if OJF hadn’t worked out? We’d be totally screwed. So little depth back there man.

Gogeta4 the tape isn't lying. It's the same people making the same mistakes. There has to be a culture of accountability. For the most part these kids are in position to make the play so a minimal gain does not become an explosive. This is a performance based business, if you're out there consistently missing tackles and busting assignments your time is up. You say 10 more defensive snaps I'm thinking 20-25 for Z

15 can at least cover the tight end.

15 is on the kickoff coverage team. If he is such a poor tackler he definitely should not play on special teams.

Some say he cannot tackle, but he cannot possibly tackle any worse than Harris.
