Stop it ... nobody wants to lose. It’s maddening , they just want to lose if they keep playing him. He is terrible
Perhaps the coach's feel they have very limited options.

I'm gonna sue you for intentional infliction of emotional distress.Where’s Kacey Rodger’s and Highsmith when ya need them ?
ZQ isn't going to be an instant savior.....but If we're going to line up a safety who's going to make mistakes anyways I'd rather the mistakes be teaching points for my highly touted and talented freshman that represents a potential spot of improvement via reps.
It's not just that Harris lacks physical traits....he has HORRIBLE instincts. That 30+ yard TD run in the first half was some of the worst display of safety play I've seen in all my years of football. He takes FOREVER to realize his initial step was at the wrong angle and by the time he attempts to compensate he doesn't have the foot speed to recover the angle.
Bring in the puppies and dumb down the defense. Fact of the matter is nobody is going to hold us under 30 points offensively so our defense just needs to not suck open a$$ and we'll be in the playoffs
Hard time believing Day & Patterson are worse. Small sample size though re: Day.I believe he runs a 10.9. What I can’t believe is whatever he reads on the field or processes in terms of angles. He often uses his speed to take himself out of plays. I don’t know what they’re seeing in practice, but I’d be shocked if this didn’t previously show up. So does that mean the other guys are…worse?
Oh we miss Kam and James Williams at the safeties. There's no denying this is a big drop off
I certainly wanted Kam back. I didn't shed any tears when JW declared though, he's certainly better than we gave him credit for though. Its funny watching these posters refused to say that...because they wanted Kam gone and HATED James Williams.
James Williams is significantly better than whom we have out there right now.
Im almost concerned with what they even do in the portal this off szn because their evals there are hit n miss. (they have brought in dbs that have not even made it to the szn 2 years in a row)
I’ve said this quite a few times that are practices don’t expose all weaknesses until we see them in a game.I’m referring to practice. Because something has to be used to evaluate our players and end up with the current order.
Yup, if we're asking Chase to do anything more than go try to hit the QB or RB with the ball we are in deep ****Chase would get cooked in coverage.
I hope that's not how they thought about it. After USF, if they didn't see us likely to struggle covering the slot and exchanging responsibilities in zone, they were watching some other team's film.I think the staff might have looked at the VT game like a clunker, the defense getting over confident and not playing in the system.
After Cal, you have the whole 10:30 start out west, but realized a trend they wanted to use the bye week to fix up and have players play within the system they intended this season.
Now? Probably have to go with some legit personnel moves and try to really adjust some of the calls we're making.
I know everyones saying "simplify? but do we really need to be stunting on first down the way we've been fitting the run?
A billion percent. Did our coaches even watch Washington play Texas? Some of the worst Safety play I’ve seen in a really long time. That Safety duo when AJ Highsmith was around was at least sound in comparison. Safety is a feel and instincts position, and our guys are seemingly learning on the job. The stakes are too high. This was a player personnel error. Plain and simple.
