2013 TOP WEIGHT ROOM PERFORMERS

I'm fairly sure Shayon is in the DE, DT, OL group as he listed with Linder, Bunche and King on the bench. He is just not among the leaders in the 40, which cuts off at 5.4.

You gotta feel for Shayon Green who is outrun not just by the defensive tackles in the 40 but by the offensive tackles as well. Rooting for him to get his first sack.

you're misreading the charts. Shayon Green is not in the group w/ the OL/DL. He is with the LB (small DE), FB, TE, K. But he's slower than that badass new punter of ours.

I hope AQM was in the faster group with the wr's.
If he was in the DL group and couldn't crack 5.40 I'm going to have an aneurysm.

Dude just got here before camp, I would think he missed the testing. But who knows maybe Shayon beat him

Arms are way too long for that.

If he's gunna be an NFL left tackle his number better be up in the 30's.

Not necessary at all, especially not when you're 6'8".

True. In 2013 combine fluker from Alabama did 21 reps. Eric fisher did 27 reps. Luke Joeckel did 27 reps.

The top guy overall was hunt with 38 reps.
Interesting that Linder would have been the strongest guy at the combine and that with our numbers we would of had 7 guys in the top 10.

Seantrel in interview said he did 28 reps, last test he did 24. At 6'8 he is good and when he has ample time to train for that test and when combine rolls around I would think he can crack 30

If Seantrel puts up 30, looks like he does now, shows those long *** arms, and stonewalls guys all year we all have seen where those guys go in the draft.

The list is from Rivals btw. It mentions this. "Note that some freshmen didn't do weight room testing; the ones listed did the full testing", and Burns and most others are listed with weight room numbers, I'm guessing most just have bad form so they're not putting up great times yet.

Holy **** Herb at that 4.40 though. Remember people *****ing about taking him because he ran a 4.7 in HS.

Raphael Kirby is a freak. Right up there with Perryman in everything.

#1

Im sure he will do well with testing and with regards to pass blocking Seantrel will have good film, but he wont go #1, Not even the first tackle off the board. That Michigan kid couldve went top 10 last year after he shut down Top pick in Clowney in bowl game. Lewan was very impressive in that game, but decided to come back. MAybe the test numbers blow people away. Hope Seantrel crushes it this year though

Denzel went from 7.1 to 13.7 body fat, that's a little alarming. Hopefully that's either wrong or he drops some legit weight in camp.

DL averages went from 409.5 to 443.9 in the squat, 275.7 to 288.4 in the power clean, 348.8 to 387.2 in the bench, body fat percent increased from 23.6 to 25.8 percent. The average weight of the linemen went from 273.5 pounds last year to 290.9 pounds this year.

LB averages went from 411.1 to 437.3 in the squat, 282.3 to 290.1 in the power clean, 335.5 to 346.7 in the bench, body fat percentage went from 7.8 to 12.4. The average weight of the linebackers went from 214.5 pounds last year to 233.5 pounds this year.

Time to stop getting pushed around.

Top OTs are in the low 20s with regularity. No one gives a **** unless you're doing like 10.

Yeah, I know that.
My point was that our guys would have dominated the strength tests.
Anybody think that we can't compete physically with SEC teams?
Out of all the best players at the 2013 combine we would have been the strongest group by a wide margin.
No wonder our coaches are straining to contain their giddiness and expectations.
From the numbers we are going to have one of the strongest, biggest, and best conditioned teams in college football. Also one of the most experienced.
You add that all up and what would you expect to be the result?
Just so you know, Pasadena is beautiful in winter.

So a track star has bad form in the 40? No way Artie ran the 40 unless his time just isn't listed.

We're definitely stronger, but as some noted above I'm a little concerned with the speed of our defense, especially our db's

Boy I swear, we sure know how to give guys labels based on how they look getting off the bus.

"Henderson is a #1 pick. He's a 6'8" five star!"
"Figs is an animal. Haven't seen him play yet, but look at him, he's gonna kill people."

Then you got a guy like Linder, who has far less fans than Henderson, and he's our best lineman and strongest man on the team at 6'6". Nobody talks about this guy going in the first round though. It's always Henderson, who honestly hasn't done jack since he's been here. His career has been severely pedestrian.

Hopefully I'm just overreacting but I'm honestly concerned about the same thing. These strength numbers are probably a little higher than a typical Miami defense but our speed numbers are significantly lower IMO. We're starting to get away from what made us who we are.

This is the most exciting thing about these numbers. I am excited to see the added weight and strength translate onto the field. This should play big in run defense.

No worries about Burns. I've seen an Instagram video of him beating Coley twice in a foot race. Numbers lie sometimes.

I think everyone should take all these numbers with a huge grain of salt. They are pretty meaningless to me.

Sorry, this is just wrong.

He may not have performed up to the hype that he came in with, but as long as he's been on the field, Henderson has been solid.

If not for a meaningless, throwaway sack at the end of the FSU game, he would have shut out a 1st round defensive end.
