I could live with that, Orlando Franklin was a 2nd round pick and that was just off pure talent, we all know the program he "developed" under did nothing for anyone who didnt already have NFL talent....

so add O. Franklins ability plus the Al Golden effect and it sounds like a 1st rounder to me.

Have you seen Walford? He is certainly not one that has extra baggage around his mid section. He is an athlete who happens to be 260. He is a beast.

Seantrel is going to have a senior year to remember. There is little doubt in my mind that after he shows his true colors this seasons he is a first rounder ahead of Linder. I'll be worried about him if it doesn't happen, but everything we have heard about Seantrel is that he is focused and has leaders around him...

Right. I just saw the # posted earlier that we went from 7% body fat to like 12%. How does that fit in with that tweet?

yeah i think the numbers must have just got mixed up..... it seems like the body fat percentage should read from 12% to 7%, especially if we are talking about D. Perryman.

Linder and Feliciano have been our best linemen IMO.

I fully expect Seantrel and Flowers to challenge that this year though, and possibly McDermott.

People never appreciated Franklin when he was here. Never once heard anything about him being a high draft pick. Ever! And this dude played LEFT tackle for us, the "stud" position. Nobody believed in the guy despite him being solid. Why? Well maybe cause he wasn't a consensus 5-star and 6'8"? I don't know.

Now, Henderson on the other hand has been hyped since he got here, been slurped on by the fans, and constantly spoken about as if he was some stud and the best lineman on our team. A ******' super star. Fast forward to now and his career here has been less than stellar, certainly not at the level of Franklin's. (atleast not at this point)

Appreciation for Henderon > Appreciation for Franklin
Performance by Henderson < Performance by Franklin

That's my only comparison. Not saying Henderson = Franklin.

Wildcat, I can see your point in there somewhere but it still just stems from the 5 star all world potential of Henderson.

I do disagree a bit about Franklin but I didn't post on the Grassy ****** board. Franklin was a god**** rock star the second he threw those blocks down field against Marshall with no helmet on. Trouble was he ended up at Tackle and people couldn't stomach waiting one or two games to let the guy improve at the position.

People have had a boner for this kid since he got here. Nobody actually watches the ******' tape though. They just think he's some animal cause he's a 6'8" five star. "He's gonna kill people." Dude hasn't "killed" anybody since he got here. If he has, show me.

I haven't seen one single person ever come to the conclusion that "you know what, he may just not be that good." The attitude around here is always "He's gotta be good. He's a stud. He's Shantrellllll Henderon. 6'8" five star!" The same way Figs is already a ******' stud around here and nobody has even seen him play. He looks good in his draws so he must be an animal on the field. Same thing that happened with Allen Bailey and our fan base.

I'm not saying he's not good or that he can't be a stud. He appears to have the physical tools. All I'm saying is...while everybody else is saying "He's got his head together this year, he's gonna maul people"...I'm the realist on the other side of the room saying "Yeah ok, he's been here four years. Time to show me something."

I guess I'm more pessimistic about the situation then everybody else.

I remember Franklin getting ripped, rightfully so, because of all the penalties. He had a very good last 2 years here performance wise and was appreciated by most fans, but if his senior year wasn't the most penalties ever by an OLinemen in any given season I'd be shocked. Every other play was a hold or false start.

I would say its pretty fair to be excited about a kid that dominated a potential top 10 draft pick, Werner, that absolutely wreaked havoc on us the year before.

I think that's when folks started jumping back on the bandwagon. Not sure he will ever be the prototype LT people pine for though. Still see him as our RT until proven otherwise.
