I hate **** fair weather fans. If you ain't all the way in then don't come on this **** board predicting that we will collapse and go 5-7.... Get with it or get lost. I'm sick of you fake miami fans. I swear some of y'all are praying that we do bad next year.... This is the most talented team we have had since 2004 and y'all think we will go 5-7. Who did we lose? Allen Hurns, Stephen Morris, Linder, Henderson. That's only 5 players who will be replaced easily.... The ones on defense aren't even worth mentioning.... Get the f out of here with that bullsh*t....
So losing a handful of guys off a bad team that got in the habit of quitting when the chips were down makes you feel like we will be significantly better this year? I don't see any logic there at all.

The only decent guys we lost tbh was Hurns which will definitely not hurt with our receiver talent and linder. Morris was horrible last year with that injury and was not smart with the football. Henderson had all the talent in the world but never was consistent. Defense..... The players who left were sorry.... Yes we will be better.....

We can easily replace a WR who is one of four in school history with over 1,000 yards, guys.

LOL @ this being the most talented team we've had since 2004. It's not close to as talented as 2010, and that team got Randy Shannon fired.

Im pretty confident Stacy Coley wont have a problem replacing Hurns production.

It's gonna be a tough year. Most games we'll be in are gonna be a dogfight. Can we improve from last year and win more games? Sure. Is that a guarantee just cause we seemingly will be able to replace the players who left? No. Absolutely not. We have some great players coming back. Sure. But we have some inexperience at other key positions. Check the roster. Its gonna be a long tough year. Can we win more games? yes. Can we lose more than last year though? sure. Anyone who thinks otherwise or has predictions, they know to be true, is fooling themselves. I'm caustiously optimistic we'll be better. This team, just like every other team in CFB, has to create an identity and prove themselves on the field.

Well, we'll have to see what happens. While Morris was Morris, he was a better option than the guys on the roster he left. Will Heaps be the answer? Will Coley follow in the footsteps of many first year players who seemed to take a step down the following year? Even if so, I don't know if you could put it on him since he doesn't even know who his QB is. If it is Heaps and he's good, that doesn't set us up for anything the following year.

Bottom line, we've had things to point at positively for a decade now to only see it go to ****. We've been wasting talent at an incredible rate, so forgive me if you'll have to show me something before I'm a believer.

I'm pretty confident he will. Like I said, there are only four WR's in school history to go over 1,000 yards and Stacy Coley won't be doing it as a sophomore playing with either freshman QB's or a kid who can't stick anywhere. The odds are not in his favor.

So what the OP is saying is...We Bak, gotta love his optimism

Really don't know where the inferiority complex is from but we are The U the cloud is gone and the storm is developing 1 year away Don't Believe me just watch......solid class 2014, top 5 in 15 and the #1 class in 2016...... But these inferior cautious fans say I'm delusional LMAO

This is what makes me laugh when some of these guys make their points. When someone says we should have been better last year, because Miami has more talent than the garbage *** teams that were easily putting up 500 yards a game on us, then that person gets told they are stupid to believe we should be better just because we are Miami.

Then when you want to point out why we are going to be good next year, you basically say because we are the U and those who have doubts next about the upcoming season have an inferiority complex. Sorry guys, you can't do that. If you want to do that, then that means all the people who said we underachieved regardless of who our players were last season are correct and have every right to be negative and "mope" as some of you like to call it. In reality, most of the mopers are just being honest about what they see.

If Coley is replacing Hurns, then who is replacing Coley? He also has a freshman qb or a transfer qb throwing to him this year.

With that said, I do believe Coley will surpass 1000 yards (if our qb's can play halfway decent). I'm not that worried about who is replacing Hurns as we are deep at WR. I'm more concerned with who is replacing Morris.

My point is less about numbers then it is overall impact. In the eyes of the D Coley is already somebody you HAVE to account for. Hurns was never really that guy who brought fear to opposing defenses. I dont expect him to get 1,000 yards because I assume were gunna run it more, but Coley being the special kind of player he is (Future top 10 pick imo) he can take screens to the house, short hitches and slants, all throws a average QB can make. He is gunna make whoever the QB is look real good more then a few times this season.

wow have not heard 2000 comparisons since...huh the last 5 years...

lets just play better than last year and see what happens

2014 reminds me of 2013.

there was actually some reason to be excited about 2013. there was still room for hope that F.A.G./Dorito could put together an average defense and the offense looked to be loaded for a great year.

this year looks like a dumpster fire.

We got so spoiled it translated to delusional. To run the table our power rating logically needs to be at least 15 points higher than it is now. Does anyone grasp the burden of that? We were more than 20 point underdogs at Florida State despite being undefeated. That's how far away we are from being truly relevant. And it doesn't even matter if we win a game like that. The likelihood doesn't change significantly in subsequent games. We're still underdogs or tiny favorites against moderate ACC foes.

I read posts on this site claiming that 75/1 to win the national title is a good deal. Sorry, but that's no relationship to reality. We'll be contenders for the national title when you can look at our schedule in preseason and realistically project that we'll be a double digit favorite in all but 1-3 games. That's how the math plays out. Otherwise you are begging to win a series of toss up games, essentially a wild parlay. Posters will dig for exceptions. The exceptions mean nothing. To become a legit power you have to dominate recruiting and fortify all the foundational areas like yards per play offense and defense. We'd need to have Stacy Coley athletes showing up throughout the roster. The fact that we are thrilled with him demonstrates how far removed we truly are.
