If Golden and D'Onofrio stay, we're not winning Coastal even if they stay until 2020 when his contract is up.

They have a rich, rich gold mine here in Miami.

But they're mining copper.

Everyone else is getting Miami speed, and we're getting Penn State pokey.

I said this in a thread from like a month ago, but a lot of Elite talent can overcome bad coaching (2001), But it is soo much easier for good/great coaching to overcome mediocre talent.
We have elite talent in some spots, but not nearly enough on Defense to overcome Onofrio. Only FSU has more overall talent than us in the ACC.

Not to mention there the reason for the **** Golden had to deal with and him needing to restock the roster. How exactly are either of them better choices? The combo of Coker/Shannon today with what we have would win more games under them vs Golden/NoD. Guaranteed. The biggest difference would be the D we would run.

The "One Year Away" is a great excuse for poor performance THIS year.

Unfrotunately, falling further behind in the Coastal in 2014 is NOT, BY ANY STRETCH, evidence of 2015 being a breakout year.

So "One Year Away" may work for a while, but after the NU game, when the season implodes, "Next season" doesn't work.
