The in-line comment was quoting you directly. I do think Hodges is a better receiving talent than Wydermeyer although neither is a guy I trust yet to consistently win 1on1 matchups the way Jordan, Mallory, or Zipperer can with their superior athleticism. Hodges has innate receiving ability that should be effective against zone defense - think Nick O'Leary.
There isn't an argument to be won here, we simply disagree to an extent about these evaluations. I will offer my evaluation of Wydermyer's film since you questioned me:
-somewhat, stiff, hunched, robotic athlete
-big frame with good build-up speed
-very undeveloped lower body, lacks a strong or powerful base which shows up as a blocker, runner and on contested throws
-tends to bend at the waist and hunch over when he has to drive block
-but he's an effective blocker especially in space with good inside hand position and the ability to redirect and block moving targets
-most effective sitting in zones and running through open spaces as a receiver
-able to make efficient inside cuts at speed but lacks shake/wiggle as a route-runner. Not a double-move guy
-catches the ball cleanly with his hands
-shows some ability to adjust to the ball in the air although stiffness limits his body control and catch radius
-lacks power and elusiveness after the catch. Catch and fall type
