Wydermyer looks like a solid player but he's not a matchup problem in single coverage the way Zipperer is. This is more of a philosophical debate and my football philosophy is that in-line TEs are unnecessary in modern football. I view the 'redundancy' of having multiple skilled flex TEs as a good thing, whereas you look at the NFL and see a dearth of talent at the position yet teams insist on trotting out mediocre TEs who aren't real threats in the passing game just "because that's the way it's been done". It doesn't make sense anymore when that spot could be filled by a more athletic skilled player in a different function.
Anyways this might be straying too far off in a tangent so bottom line is Wydermyer looks "Miami caliber" to me but I wouldn't prioritize him over superior playmakers. Like I alluded to in my previous post I think you can design offense without needing an inline TE.
