2024 Zaquan Patterson - Safety, Chaminade

I’m going out on a limb here. But is it possible the coaches at Chaminade are pushing him to FSU too? If they are convincing their guys to commit before the season, why wouldn’t they nudge them to certain school. Especially the optic of having so many guys at so many different schools (already have trader committed).

I have almost six years of credibility where I’ve had info ripped by pay sites like CS and called things advance. King being out for the year being one when EVERYONE said he was questionable for Uva, Including manny. Or the AD search being another one. As well as many other examples. My record speaks for itself. If like him or anyone else doesn’t believe it then ignore me like I don’t exist. A good amount of posters here trust me because I’ve proven myself for years.

Again, seems like more than that for this kid. FSU's DB class…45-3…Surtain. I'm just saying it may not be dollar for dollar.

Also, there may be a limit that we think we can go on a safety. And when you have Dalias on deck…Don't get me wrong, I've wanted Patterson in this class since day 1. But there A. has to be a limit B. He may just not want to be at UM…Even though he seemed to til this summer.

Dude would’ve been here if Manny was HC, he’s been all cane for a long time. Now just days before commitment he “might not want to be here”? C’mon now

His obsession with Jason Candle as option #1 (or at least high up) as an OC is also a little alarming/puzzling (I'm neutral on Candle and do like some things about his offense…Think he's a below average head coach…But point is NO ONE besides CMC, who just hired…Josh Gattis…holds Candle in the esteem that CMC does)

It’s definitely alarming and I think everyone would agree

I don’t like to play the spin game but I’ll just say that hopefully with more time behind the wheel, he was able to dial in better

I mean when he got here we had literally no recruiting class. We had like 7-8 guys committed. We know how seriously he takes that part. His moms health issues, a total overhaul of a program, it’s a lot in a short period of time especially for someone as methodical as Mario seems to be

Again I don’t like to make excuses just hoping that he adapted to that, much like we hope he adapts to the recruiting challenges we are facing right now

I know FSU got their NIL together finally but the money that’s being talked about now is money just to commit and help recruit now, no promises of signing end of day.

And we know Miami isn’t going to do that but I know Miami NIL at end of day will be better then FSU

Addae is by far the weakest link on this staff. But I don't think DVD would have been any better.

We need to bring in a STUD that has either produced talent at the highest level or played at the highest level himself.

There has got to be a Jason Taylor type for DB's living in Miami...

Turning down Corey Raymond because we had T-Rob was the biggest miss of our first coaching staff... after Gattis of course.

There was one hanging out being Dolphins Asst DB coach and he just went up north to Tallahassee, Pat Surtain Sr.

FSU shouldn't be a surprise. They've been dropping bags all over Georgia and South Florida. At this point, there have been too many recruiting insiders that cover various schools saying the same thing. It's no coincidence that the bags coincide with their recruiting success.

Because DVD is gone and ran his mouth so much

He got Gaby plugged in with someone in a similar role that DVD was but he is much closer to Mario and puts out less info.
