I think he should have gone for it - the problem is it wouldn't have mattered because our defense would have let Syracuse drive down the field and get a fg. You can't head coach your way out of a defense that has no teeth.

Kicking a FG means you still need a TD, and your offense will most likely be in a worse position to get said TD from a distance and time perspective

They waltzed down the field trying to to clock the game. Lol. We score 7 and they just use their 3 timeouts and 4 minutes to atleast get a field goal.

Only way to win was 1. Score with 7 minutes to go. Or 2. Get a stop.

Every major thing we struggled with all year on the offensive side of the ball happened in that sequence. First on 1st and goal, we go RPO, Cam made the wrong decision and went hero ball. Bad read, should have been a hand off. Arroyo actually saved us by breaking up the pick. Second, George decided to go full George and get a 15 yard penalty. We weren't scoring 2nd and goal from the 25. So Mario does what Mario does and decides to kick lol We are cursed, I swear.
