Your reaction when we kicked the FG down seven with 3:42 remaining

Exactly. You don't take the ball out of Cam Ward's hands and give it to your Defense that didn't have one stop the entire second half.

Mario’s quote, justifying his decision is laughably dense:

“If it was outside the 10-yard line with four minutes to go, it was get the points and get a stop.”

Is that a rule written in stone somewhere?

Just confirms that Cristofail is a game management failure.

He is just a trained monkey on a typewriter

WHO actually made the decision to go for the field goal???? We were yelling at the TV not believing what was happening. This ranked right there with the no-kneel game. How can anyone justify it? 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

So what was the upside of going for it, on 4th and ten. If we just happened to get a turn over or miraculously one stop , then one score wins it. If not you are asking our no defense to put two stops.
uhmmm the upside is you are not down in the scoreboard anymore with 3 and a half minutes left lmao. The downside is zero because you still need to stop them down 7 or 4. This ain't hard.

Slept on it and thought about it some this morning and really starting to think kicking the FG was the right call. Going for the TD would have been fine too. I’m not mad at either. Still needed a stop that wasn’t happening.

But we kicked the FG, had 2 TOs, and 3.5 minutes left. That made Syracuse go to running the ball and we had them under 3 yards per carry on the day. All we had to do was stop the run and we couldn’t. Kicking the FG, you knew theyd go into a shell and not put the ball in the air. Then you have a chance to win it, instead of playing for the tie again if you didn’t convert the 4th and goal.

Had we scored a TD, they’re just walking down the field throwing the ball and winning the game. Not a single doubt about it.

They did exactly what we needed them to do, go conservative and run and not put the ball in the air. There was just no answer to anything by the defense.

I see the logic in your argument here.
I think I would still go for the TD and hope and pray for a fumble snap when they get the ball back lol

We walk the ball in if JG doesn’t act like an idiot

If it wasn’t for the boards I would’ve quit Miami football after I had kids. I watch when I can until I’m uninterested. Filler. Nothing more nothing less.

I was at my dad's place in Naples. We brought all his Cane memorabilia down from upstairs and were watching the game on his lanai. I saw the team line up for a field goal. Water spilled into the pool from the fountain while it became harder and harder to see the tee box just beyond his house. As the football went thru the uprights he looked at me and said "You know you're adopted, right?".

And that was the the second most betrayed I felt in that moment.

My gut feeling was it didn’t matter. When it looked like Syracuse would get the ball last either way, I felt we had no chance.

Miss the 4th and goal (from the 15 yard line I believe), get no points, they score a FG or TD and game is 100% over.

The highest low percentage chance was kick the FG, pray the D can somehow hold them to a FG, so we are down 7. get the ball back with about 1:30 to go and then score a TD to tie , give them no time on clock, and play for OT.
