Who is it that is going to get rid of Al,you? Some of you boys live in a make believe world where if you think it, it will happen. This board has put up posts of future DC hopefuls and yet not one person can produce any proof Al is even considering replacing his main man. Just wishful thinking and not one **** thing more. When Santa does not show the shock must be more than you can bare.

you arent very smart apparently. the reason this discussion exists is the glaringly bad defense that has been put on the field for 3 years. Al Groh got ******* fired in teh middle of the season for having a defense perform the way ours has for at least 2 ******* years

Smart enough to know you and not anyone else is going to change anything. You will helplessly ride the journey out or find another team. Some of you fans think you are as big as the program and if you say, we need a new DC, all you have to do is say it 10,000 times and it will happen. Has anything changed in the last couple of years that would leave you to believe your ranting and raving has changed anything? This has been going on for over a year for Marks head on a platter and when i saw him the other day it was still on his neck. Face the truth you or anyone on this board can't change a thing. God knows you boys have tried and it is obvious your all happiest when your miserable.

we need to replace the departing jag at best Seniors with better players more than needing to replace Coach D.

And watching some game replays gives me hope.
First of all not sure why Kirby wasn't getting in games more. He and Figs will without a doubt be an upgrade over Gaines and Cornelious.
If Perryman stays and Golden gets some Juco DL's that can come in and be upgrades over the guys that are leaving this front seven all of a sudden becomes formidable.
Add Carter and hopefully a healthy Bush and things are looking better from a personnel side compared to this years talent and depthwise.

I think the coaching staff can figure out the schematic issues they just need the personnel to make it work.
We could have ran our traditional 4-3 Hurricanes defense and the results would have been no better.
When I tell you our LB and Safety play was horribly bad it was. No scheme would have helped.

Stop talking logic..these loser naysayers dont want to hear it. They think that another DC could get Highsmith and Rogers to play like Sean Taylor. They think another DC could get our front four to mount a bull rush or our LBs not to run 5.1 40's and look terribly slow.

So you're saying great schematics can't make inferior talent look better?

Big put this toolbox on ignore, it is for the best.

LMAO, your boy had two full years to recruit talent to replace Highsmith and Rogers. I guess it gets no blame for that.

Gone? No. At best, he gets demoted to LB coach, Barrow moves to special teams, and Orgeron gets brought in to be the new D-Coordinator/D-line coach. Jethro probably gets shown the door, if anyone. Golden loves this guy too much, its bigger than football for him. If Golden coaches here, so will D'Onofrio. Period.

AG has a boss who can over ride him on his **** poor decision to bring coach No D back

Golden already said he will not be strong armed by anyone. Other than a few whiny cry babies on this board, Al is loved by the university and staff and will be here as long as he wants. Please show us you can make a difference and write Donna and cry to her and lets see what kind of pull you have. Donna, I post on a message board and i am not happy would you please talk to Al for me and let him know that although i am not qualified i want to let him know how to do his job. Respect me Donna I stayed at Holiday inn express.

Lol......

The thought of people believing that coach D will be fired after Saturday is hilarious.......

Who the fock waits till after a Bowl game to fire a asst. coach..........

We are in it for the long haul with coach D guys & gals...

Get Use To It.....

I can try to cope with the notion that Dorito won't be fired right away after the game way much better than "being in it for the long haul". Ugh, makes me want to jump off the cliffs of despair.

He will be back and we'll continue to suck on defense....welp looks like 2014 will be another wasted year of football

Here's what we know:

1. Golden and D'Onofrio are best friends.
2. Golden is a loyal guy who believes in stability.
3. Golden and D'Onofrio are on the same page philosophically when it comes to defense.
4. Golden is actively involved in every facet of the program.
5. They've had success running this defense before.

Looking at all of the evidence, what makes people think D'Onofrio won't be back?

Now there could be things going on behind the scenes that we aren't aware of. For example, there have been rumors that D'Onofrio hates South Florida, has a rocky relationship with some of the high school coaches, and some of the players on defense have tuned him out. I'm not saying I believe all of it (or the degree of it), but the **** has been floated.

If D'Onofrio gets fired, I doubt it will be because Golden thinks he's a bad coach schematically; that reflects poorly on Golden because this is his scheme. I think it'll be because he needs a scapegoat, or D'Onofrio has such a bad rapport with other people that he has to go. Golden has built up a lot of goodwill, so despite the protestations on message boards, Golden isn't desperate enough to need a scapegoat yet, and I don't think D'Onofrio is so churlish and despised that he has to be ****-canned.

I think Golden and D'Onofrio might make tweaks to the scheme (e.g. more slanting and shooting gaps up front), but I don't think D'Onofrio is going anywhere.

I say YES!!!!!!!! Mack brown should've been replaced after last year. Miami doesn't need to make the same mistake. After the Duke debacle, I believe his toast was cooked!! If he isn't, then somebody is not guiding the train at the U!!!!!!!!!!

Golden will either be successful with Dorito (lulz) or both will be given their walking papers together. They are a package deal. Dorito isn't going anywhere unless Golden gets fired

The negative comedy routine continues to be unimpressive.

He will either be given the opportunity to make adjustments with better talent or he won't. You message board coaches who think you would fire your friend/coaches without giving them the opportunity to move on are kidding yourselves.

You really think YOU would fire the coaches (employees/co-workers/business partners) that stood by you through unpredictable restraints and helped you overcome hurdles without giving them an opportunity to move on or make adjustments with the improved talent now that those restraints and hurdles have been removed?

I am a pretty big Miami homer...not on DBC levels but above average for sure.

IF we go with the status quo on defense next year, I will take the season off. never have I done that. not even in the depths of ShanCoker **** did i give up on the team. if someone like me would give up on them, then it is a really really ugly situation. would set the program back a couple few years

this AG/Dorito defensive experiment has to stop right now

Arrogant Al will lose a gigantic portion of the fan base if he sticks with his busted scheme and his busted buddy. It will be the beginning of the end for him at UM because the great majority of the fan base will turn on him for not trying to fix the obviously busted defense. He will have chosen his buddy over the program, and that will turn off those who care deeply about the program.

For the brain dead *** bags who think the fans don't control the employment of corches, you're too hopeless to waste time with. If the fans didn't matter, then every team would just hire the cheapest possible coach in order to save the most money. And they'd keep that bum employed forever to avoid paying any buyouts when they fire them. Fans/boosters control the purse strings, and when they start withholding their dollars, the administration listens. Happens at every level where there's money involved.

This ****'s all about money, and the quicker some of you dolts learn that the better off you'll be. Morons acting like Al Goldens controls the entire athletics department and can do whatever he chooses. LULZ. That dude's nothing but a worker bee.
