Yearby

I'm a big fan of Yearby but I can't say I would rather have than Cook.

Clemson still will be tough to beat though.

What exactly do Clemson sell these kids? My wife is a Clemson alum and there is nothing great about the place. Been there a few times and there is nothing that made me say wow. Stadium is nice tho

I heard Clemson actually is a GREAT college town, Trilla. Friend of mine went there. Cook is from Miami so he knows this town isnt really all for the school like a Clemson would be. Remember when Ben Jones went up there and darn near committed on the spot? LOL. BWash had to talk him out of it. College towns go along way with some kids.

Whoever compared Yearby to Eduardo hit the nail on the head. Not really a bad thing but as you can see Ed has had a hard time adjusting due to lack of top end speed. And YES he did come from a spread offense at BTW. Those guys did not run in Iformation. They had 4-5 WRs almost every play. And Yearby took a major step back this year.

I want Sony and Cook. If Cook wants to be an ATH then take Yearby. But I also wouldnt be dissappointed if we took Yearby and Sony either. Life is Good as Nas says! LOL. What a dilemna to have!

it's not what Clemson sells them as much as it is what they buy them

We probably need a kick *** season to sway Cook from Clemson. Get it done on the field and these type of kids won't be going to Clemson.

It's a great (SEC-like) atmosphere on game day, as the entire community lives for Saturdays. they also have excellent facilities. and while clemson has not lived up to its potential, it appears to be a consistent top 25 or better team now, and always in the discussion for winning the ACC and going to a BCS game. aside from that, people always claim they dole out the $, but who knows.

I don't see us taking 3 RB's If we got all 3, Im willing to bet Cook is valued at a different spot. I'll be honest, I havent watched much film on Yearby, but if he is better than what I have seen of Cook, then God Bless us all. We just have many other holes that we need to fill. My early guess on numbers would be:

QB = 2

RB = 2

OL = 4

TE = 0 to 1 (If they see Lockley as a TE then we may not even take one in this class)

WR = 3

DT = 3

DE = 1

LB = 3 to 4

CB = 2 to 3 (leaning towards 3)

SF = 2

Athlete = 1

Of couse these projections all go to **** if the NCAA decides to be extra douchey.

we bringing in Small Forwards or???

Here is my question for the board: If Cook and Yearby say that Coley and Darling have swayed them and they want in..No hat trick BS. Do you tell Yearby that we have to wait for Sony first and take the risk? Do you think Al sends Barrow out to talk to Sony and see where is he at and give him the "Bourne Ultimatum"? Or do you learn your lesson from this year and play bird in hand two in bush and take the commitments and tell Sony he waited too long the train is leaving?

(Disclaimer: This is under the assumption we are not taking 3 RBs. Cook says he wants to be a RB not an ATH. And that if we spurn Yearby we POSSIBLY could have another BTW fiasco on our hands at Central.)

Yeah, im making yall cats think a little..

You wait for Sony...you do whatever you have to do to get Sony. If that means losing Yearby, then so be it. Of course you continue to recruit the **** out of all of them until pen is on paper....BUT....SONY...SONY...SONY!

Don't think Yearby is a top 5 back in SoFla. He's good but not worth a scholly.

You tell all three that we want them each to come here and play a role. We do not plan on having a workhorse back but we plan on featuring each of you in a way that maximizes your talent and production. This will also save you some wear and tear and have you ready for a long NFL career. And if they don't buy that, tell them to look at how 'Bama and LSU do things.

Jerseyshore, what's your source to say that about Coley's preference?

Someone inside the staff told me Coley likes Yearby more for his offense. Expect Yearby to be a high priority and they are trying to flip him. They like Cook but I Don't know if they take 3 backs.
