Xavier Restrepo leaning towards not playing in bowl game..

That sucks?

Could get hit by a car.

Funny people like you take the players side and then say people don’t care about player health.

Others take the teams side and think about that concept and say it’s changed their opinion as it’s a me first mentality and you were paid to play.

Others don’t care either way and say it’s meaningless anyhow this bowl so let’s see the backups get playing time. Those people are told they aren’t really fans cause they don’t care if we win.

Did I miss anyone 🤣
I don’t know where you were going with that other crap you wrote.

I see it from both sides and for him I can understand him not wanting to risk it because he’s a player that can go from being drafted to out of football because of an injury given his lack of elite measurables.

You mean the same ACL he could have popped playing Florida A&M? What's he going to say to Cam and Martinez? I, would rather the record of the team I played on for my final year in college be 11-2 instead of 10-3. I, would rather leave it on the field with my guys then sit and watch them fight without me.. knowing I could have been there with them. I, would get the insurance and go fight alongside the guys I've been fighting alongside all year long. Meaningless this.. meaningless that.. it's another game, finish out the season you started. X doesn't need to do a ******* thing for me, imo he does owe his teammates tho.
That’s between him and his teammates and his family. All I was saying is I can understand where he’s coming from.

And I’ll ignore the Famu red herring.

Can't live life in a bubble. He could tear his ACL running routes on air prepping for NFL combine. He could tear his ACL in the Senior Bowl. What you're basically telling your teammates is I am more important than you are. Again, I think it's not his mindset it's his agent pushing him hard not to play.
And you assume he hasn’t talked to his teammates.

What are we doing man? I know he is represented by Rosenhaus Sports Agency/Shawn O'Dare former Miami player, but he is a 3rd/4th round pick, and his last time on field he fumbled the season away. Like there is no way X doesnt want to play in this bowl game.

These agents, Miami alums, are real friends of the program.

This is same sleezey group that pulled TVD to Bama stunt after spring practice, and shook down Miami for more money. Also pulled Colbie Young stunt that tried shaking down Miami for more money.

Restrepo isnt going to lose money playing in a bowl game unless a limb literally falls off. Its scare tactics by agents.

D and Ariz also saying on podcast Brown isnt playing and obviously not Horton.

We arent winning a bowl game without 3 of our top 4 WRs. Iowa State isnt going to have that sorta opt out impact.
Would love to see X one more time, but a bowl game performance isn't improving his stock.

I would love to win our 2nd bowl in what 20+ years?

But, I also feel it’s more important to start getting this roster and players ready for next year..

It’s the pop tart.. I’m not really taking it that serious tbh
For me it was just about getting that 11th win that miami hasn't seen in over 20 years. Pretty wild and seems meaningless but getting 11 wins would atleast, in my mind, make the season mean a little more and I'd be less inclined to say we'll it's the same **** as the 2017 team...

X doesn't owe you, or your hunch back tia, anything. Let the man rest and get ready for night 2 of the NFL Draft.

He's done enough to cover Mario's ***, it's time for Mario to show he can win without X now.
Rest, he's a kid. Miami made him not the other way around, I love the guy and admire his hard work and dedication, but you don't bail on your teammates.

You said your a loyal, I would expect you to attend all the games and be front in center. Small sacrifice for a loyal person.
Funny, I've been a member of the HC for almost 30 years and a season ticket holder(5) for almost 40 years. And for the record, I have six tickets to the Pop-Tarts in sec 109, AA, so I'll be there.

I disagree with you bro. Not everyone is getting paid like a pro. There are a bunch of kids who know they're not going to the next level and just play football for the sake of playing football. Let them have their bowl games man.
Personally, I'll lose some respect for X if he doesn't play. Sorry, miss me with the it's not financially worth it stuff. imo if you're only about what it does for you and your money. Then you lose my respect as a player. You guys do you, that's where I'm at. I'm all for players getting paid but you disrespect your team mates, the guys who helped get you there, by not playing with them for the final game of the year.
Agreed. If Cam can play, X should play hands down. What happened to having some pride and going out with a bang?

So no sideline tickets, I guess loyalty has a price
Now I know why you've posted fourteen times since February.

I bet there's a lot of players wearing the U in the bowl that wont consider the game meaningless. I expect somebody is in X's ear about not playing cause money. Whoever sits out, X will surprise me the most.

If he plays great… if he doesn’t great. This isn’t the playoffs that I know he would have left everything out on that field…

He’s a legend in my books and let’s be real this bowl game is all for the underclassmen getting reps in practice and a chance to play a live action game. If guys like cam want to suit up one more time I’m appreciative
