We have had the 2 worst defense in the history of the school and someone pointing out the incompetence is a hater. You might as well call him a racist as well. It has as much truth to it.

I really believe Coach D is a very smart coach and might be the best football mind on our staff after talking to a few people who have spoken with him, including Wildcat. Being knowledgeable does not mean you have the ability to teach it and apply it tho. This year we will see if he has taught his players his scheme better.

This. I think the guys mind goes 100mph. Listen to him speak. He's got a lot of stuff rolling around up there. Whether it is right ffit for UM and whether he can teach it and players apply it is the thing.

Ok, so send Deon Bush, Denzel Perryman, Rayshawn Jenkins, and whomever else missed tackles in that on the F'N bench. That would make Coach D a mastermind. I got it know. Better yet, push them off the roster, maybe they end up at Louisville or something.

I wouldn't say he adds nothing, but guys like the OP state the obvious believing it makes their football acumen above reproach. His point is valid, but why this thread. Only likely outcomes I think he wants is to either attack Wyche, or say Coach D isn't a mastermind. Neither outcome, are worth a ****.

It was just another piece of the article off tos a pay site that I thought i would share nothing more. My hatred for the Golden Girls isnt bee a secret for years and you know this from the TOS.

Will say this he helped make Temples Defense taking great leaps with very little talent. Just cause you get gutted for the most part of a few seasons doesnt mean hes not a "mastermind" It takes a whole other step to translate that to teaching and production which he hasnt done yet albeit with alot of younger guys against much tougher competition. Lets hope he has learned some things and adjusted and with some better depth and more experienced players can coach these talented players into a respectable defense.

First few games last year the D played well. Now I know with the exception of UF & FSU, the teams we played were not great. But the D did play well the 1st half against FSU. I hate the whole bend but don't break attitude. I guess my question is good coaches adapt to their players which obviously Coach D'nafrio didn't do, was it because this Defense he's teaching is tough to learn and he wanted the younger guys to grasp it as the guy got older?
